So today I discovered a business hidden away in my city called Phoenix Amusements, run by an operator, but one with great looking pins. I saw a few pins such as;
8 Ball Deluxe, Solar City, KISS, Xenon, Sinbad, Playboy, Buccaneer and Volley to name a few.

This had the feel of excitement, almost like a warehouse raid, but there was no raid going on of course. The fella who runs the place took the time to discuss the pins and mentioned that he had several of each title that he sold off over time and has only kept the best ones. The cabs look great, almost NIB in some cases. No burns, no yellowing, no gouges, no rusted legs. Backglasses looked nice and the pf in most games was extremely good. None were cc'd yet, but if there was wear, it was minimal.

I was tempted to buy 4 machines on the spot but space and wifey won't permit that for me right now. If you are willing to pay above book value for pins that fully work and are in great shape, then this may be for you. It is a business and not a collector's house or a pin found in a barn, but it is another option for those looking for 70's, 80's pins. I mentioned MAACA to him and that there are many collectors out there that are always looking for pins and that he should check us out. Sometimes he will buy a pin depends on condition. Pricing is closer to SB pricing for used games but I will leave this for him to discuss if he joins MAACA and wants to get more specific. He said he would check out.

An unexpected start to my morning, but a pleasant surprise.
