I have to move a Pin in the back of a covered truck and today would be
great, but it is Freaking Cold outside! I am talking about -25 Celsius. The posts I looked through all talk about
around Freezing temperatures. Anybody move these DMD era games in this kind
of temperature? I think the game would have to be in the back of the truck
for about 8 hours!

Or should I wait for the warming trend (Chinook!) that is coming...

Update:  Game has been moved, was only in the Truck for about 4 hours and seems to have suffered no ill effects. Thanks for the info and opinions!

Of course you know I would have no idea - but I do know the forecast for tomorrow (Sunday) in Calgary is a high of 2degrees - That's 2 degrees in the positive!  Might make sense to wait 24hours.

I kind of miss my Window if I wait, But I am thinking that way too... On the other hand, If manufacturers had games to ship across the country in freezing cold, I doubt they waited...

Helge's barn didn't have heat and more then DMD were stored in there for long periods of time.

I had my t2 gun game in a garage with no heat for over 2 years and it still works perfect.  My rule when i have moved Pins in the cold is give it at least a day or two in the heat before you turn it on, i have never had any problems so far doing it this way.

I used to work for a moving company many years ago and I suspect the same issues apply to pins as many other electrical appliances. We always told customers to wait at least 8 hours for the applicance (or electrical component) to attain room temperature prior to plugging it in. Condensation is the major issue. I usually wipe all surfaces down to remove any visible condensation shortly after it is inside.

Oh yeah, I used to move stuff when I lived in Labrador (bloody cold up there in the winter). So 8 hours in the cold should be no problem.o Now blowing snow inside your pin, well that would be another story.
