Sens traded Antoine Vermette to Columbus for Pascal Leclaire.

Excellent trade... Leclaire is a very good goalie...

5 goals in 17 shots or something crazy last night - we need a goalie for sure!

He's injury prone though, check out his stats on TSN.ca.  Still, something had to be done. Vermette is a real talent but his value dropped so much the past 2 years I'm surprised Murray was able to coax out a second round pick on top of that too!  I think it's a great trade but I hope next year I'll be able to confirm it.

Kuba resigning was a HUGE surprise to me!

Doesn't matter what happens, Sens are out for this year and Murray is done. Anyways, Montreal is supposed to win this year. It's Bettman's anniversary present to them...

I agree about Murray... but I consider Ottawa like a sleeping giant. I believe a good goalie and a solid defenceman is all it takes to wake them up. Too much talent on that team. Goalie is a done deal. Now if they get a solid d-man, watch out...

I don't know about that.. I was at the game last night and saw my BELOVED Flames absolutely toy with the Sens. I was sitting behind Auld in the first period and had a field day yelling AAAAAAALLLLLEEEXXXXXXX after watching 4 goals go in. He supposedly left the game after 2 periods because he felt "sick"...But it wasn't just bad goaltending. They have no chemistry right now and no urgency or continuity to their game. Spezza fighting Phaneuf was HILARIOUS...both he and Alfredsson said it was a dirty hit on Heatley by Phaneuf. They don't know what a real hit even looks like with all the pansies on the Sens.

Rebuilding...currently Scared Stiff, Guns N'Roses, Bally Harley Davidson, Fish tales, Slugfest, JVL Conquest standup, and a Wurlitzer Juke.

Why have one crappy goalie when you can have two?

Never seen a good goalie in an Senator uniform in my life, and now the pickup a injury prone goalie with 3 more years on his contract at 3.2M, 4.6M, and over 5M in the last year.  I would not be talking about crappy goalies in Toronto. Last time I check the Leafs were 7 points ahead of the Senators in the standings. Wasn't Ottawa supposed to be a Cup Contender this year?
