Anyone know where to get led flex neon by the roll...cheap? Anyone have experience working with it?
Also, anyone have any design ideas for the museum, that you think would class it up a bit, or make it a more , shall we say, enchanting atmosphere? Let me know, wild and crazy ideas are welcome too, as after all, this is kind of a crazy idea to begin with.
PS here is a pic of an artists rendition of an arcade, I kind of like it ( - the carpet)
I always liked arcades with elevated areas where some of the more challenging and unique games were kept. It was also great for finding people or where the washrooms were. Only problem is you'd have to keep the tops of the games clean!

funny you say that, I was looking at building a mezzanine today ( at work) or buying the metal prefab stuff. The metal ones are mucho dineros but a wood framed one may be feasible. i could get a few buddies, some chainsaws, some beer and carpet( to hide the butchery that would take place), and maybe a ramset, and presto. It does affect the taxes i think, and the landlord would probably be quite pissed, but i definitely like that idea. I always remember the arcade in the bottom of maple leaf village in Niagara falls, that had an elevated level all around the outside perimiter, with pins only. it looked very cool, and I would love to duplicate that effect.
I got two units - one is big and the other 2500 sq ft - Once I set up the games room in the smaller area and turned on air conditioning I maxed out the supply and I only had 6 pins and a few cabs on!!!! upstairs I got around 150 pcs with monitors running but all electrical was freshly installed when the unit was refurbed. I didnt deal with that directly but know it was a hassle.
We are going to upgrade the electrical for sure and have already budgeted for that. To be honest, electrical/power consumption is going to be a major expense/ headache, but we are prepared for that.
