Just got my hands on a 1950 Gottlieb Rockettes through a co-worker. Seeing as I'm not a woodrail guy I figured I'd post a couple pics and get some feedback on this. I'm most likely not going to keep this machine and wanted to post it here before the FS section. Anyone here a woodrail collector?
It currently powers up and you can play one ball, but it's not scoring and it won't serve a new ball after the ball drains. From the sound it's making it seems like the score motor is continually running, just haven't had any spare time to tear into it.

Hey MrHide,
Good idea on the IPDB thing! I'll snap a few more and send them off.
And this pin can be yours if you want it, just PM or email me. (I've got a few guys in the US all over this thing too, but I'd rather keep it in the community we've got here first)
-Sparkey, don't slap me yet because it's not in the FS forum yet!

Yeah it seems to be shaping up that way.... I've been in touch with a few woodrail collectors and this one seems to be fairly rare, especially in the condition it's in. Clay's site was the first one I stumbled across too..... I'm very surprised with the $ figures the guys I've talked to are throwing around, but I doubt Clay is looking to spend this kind of $$.

With Clay, you never know... good luck! nice machine!
Current 'working' lineup: ( 2 ) Flipper Football, The Shadow
Gone but not forgotten: ( 22 ) City Slicker, Dirty Harry, CFTBL, Big Shot, Big Guns, Black Rose, Judge Dredd, Indianapolis 500, Big Game, BS: Dracula x 2, Beat the Clock, Fire!, F-14 Tomcat, Getaway, Breakshot, Cheetah, Meteor, El Dorado, Nitro Ground Shaker, Chexx Hockey, Slugfest
I`ve always thought if I ever came up with a machine that clay was looking for I`d have to give him first dibbs on it and almost give it to him as I have learned so much from his site it`s like I owe him or something? I`m definitely not implying that you owe clay anything or that you should sell it to him its just a personal side note STEEL OUT!!

That's one way of looking at it, by giving the game to Clay for a much reduced price you're almost paying him back for the excellent website and vids that help all of us on a daily basis..... Not sure if I'd be willing to part with an example like this in this situation, but definately something to think about.

Just thought I'd update everyone that was following along on this thread. I've found this pin a new home, and it's going to a woodrail collector in Pittsburgh. I'll be meeting him in Buffalo to make the exchange as I'm going there anyway to pick up my BH, so it was perfect timing.
Also for reference, after speaking to many woodrail collectors and looking at a few price guides here's what I found regarding its value.
Mr. Pinball: $900US Bieza: $1300US Collectors opinions: $1500-$1800US (given it's condion, and fully working/shopped) Selling Price: $1100US
So all in all a good learning experiance as I had never even laid eyes on a woodrail, let alone try to sell one! Thanks for all your help during the process guys!
