If you're buying from a dealer Forward air will likely be an option, but likely not from an individual, as to ship with Forward Air the machine has to be wrapped and palleted, as well as dropped off at a terminal, and you then have to pick it up at the terminal. NAVL picks up in one piece from the sellers home and delivers right to your door. It is more expensive but far more convenient IMO, especially for an individual. Customs wise Forward Air is better because you can then clear thru customs yourself at the airport, and thats also where you will pay the 13% tax on the declared value. With NAVL you do have to get your own broker as NAVL doesn't have that service, but thats as easy as a phone call ( A and A brokers).
NAVL seems to always get a bad spin on here...I've used them to ship A LOT of machines without incident. If you utilize the 2 for 1 shipping when you're buying, it works out pretty good as far as costs go. |
