Welcome dude!...
I was wondering how long it would be before I saw your first post on here.
The guys here are very helpful.
I am sure someone will chime in with some help.

Here is a link to the ones at Pinball Life.   http://www.pinballlife.com/index.php?p=product&id=1260&parent=204
Only thing is the shipping etc....
Maybe someone knows where to get some local, or we can maybe combine a small order to make shipping more feasible.

Again welcome to the board!

That depends-are you willing to make some extra holes in the cabinet for screws?  I bought some automotive cup holders from Canadian Tire and screwed them to my CP, which sticks out from the sides on either side of the cabinet (you can sort of see one of them in this pic :http://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo/WQAQIE__RG36MdjLRC9lxA?feat=directlink).  The ones I bought were designed to mount on an air vent, but a couple of screws and they're completely solid.

I also grabbed some of the really cheap plastic ones for my pins a couple of weeks ago, and one of them is already broken.  I'll probably upgrade these to the actual pingulp ones in the fall when I'm in the states and shipping isn't as crazy.

Pingulps work will for pinball machines (as does the standard Canadian Tire cheapo solution).

These types (or the Canadian Tire cheapies) can be used for arcade cabinets: http://www.foldingcupholder.bravehost.com/ http://www.gameroommag.com/retroblast-articles/misc/408-arcade-cabinet-cup-holders
(for an arcade, I like that these can fold up and out of the way). I'll bet you could find these in automotive supply somewhere local.

If you're going to screw into your cabinet anyway, this option would give you lots of space for holding things: http://www.canadiantire.ca/AST.....Pocket.jsp?locale=en

Interestingly I note that Canadian TIre online doesn't seem to show that cheapy cup holder we use for pinballs anymore....maybe it's time to go out and buy up a bunch in case they are being withdrawn.

In my mind, these would make the best alternative for arcade cabinets (likely order them via Starburst):  http://www.happcontrols.com/accessories/27142200.htm

looking for something sturdy and will last, screws arnt gonna matter much since its a home game system for kids/g/f and myself of course haha... but its far from collector, just so long as i can make it last and look nice.

will check out the ones from Canadian Tire, but looking for something of a higher quality probley so they are harder to break for the kids.

Thanks Jones, i just got home so =p i rarely log off the forums when i'm home haha

Thanks all

edit: web: thanks you ninja posted on top of me   the foldup cup holders is a good idea and so are the last set you posted gonna be hard to decide.  the last set seem real sturdy, but fold up makes it nice for transport/moving through doors

The Happ ones are the ones you see in arcades.  Built like tanks.  To move through doors.... temporarily unscrew them.

The ones that I have have managed to stand up to a 2 year old (although she hasn't tried hanging off of one yet).  I looked at the Happ ones, but given that I didn't know where to get them locally, I just improvised with the CT ones.

I ordered the Pinball Life ones(left and right) and these thing are sturdy.  Great deal for 10 clams.  I just added them to an order so shipping wasn't a real concern.

Well kinda ... of course you are going to be drilling extra holes into your pin cab but if you're cool with that ...

It looks as though Terry is using the Happ part to make the pingulp. So, for about $4 you are getting the black painted metal bracket part and 2 bolts. That's not very reasonable but I suppose if you were equipped to do so you could make those brackets. Its thihgs like that that earp people an RGPCB number.

Personally Id rather pay $4 for Terry to supply them all finished.

Ten SS games...but 8 is my limit!
