Hi,the 5101 chip in my Gorgar needs replacement.the numbers on it are 5101e-1

I have another 5101 chip from an extra stern board,the numbers are   P5101L
                                                                                                       IC724
I was wondering if there was a difference and if it would work,I thought I would ask first instead of risking damage to my machine.Does anyone know where I can get a proper chip locally?Great plains has them but the number is PCD5101P .I dont know if its the right one.As always,thanks for your help.

As long as the number is the same, the chip should be alright, just make sure you install it correctly.
