Hey..
I just wanted to see if other people get the same sort of reaction
when they have guests come over and they first see the big
arcade cabinet or pinball machine.

I find it's funny how the different generations react to the grafx
and game play.

Most do say, "wow that's cool", "I'd love one".

When Amusement911 was selling off $99.00 19" jamma cabs on Ebay, I bought a couple for these friends. I try to get as many people hooked as possible.

Yup... ask anybody who bought some from Denis... those were the best deals around. 100$ for a game... who could ask for better. I have picked up a few things from Denis, and have always been satisfied. It really sucks that he doesn't have any more games, or very little.

I wonder if he still has that sweet Ms.Pacman cabaret still... now THAT game was awesome, like new. Well worth what he wants for it...

You forgot:

'You must have way too much money if you're spending it on crap like this'

I've lost count on how many times I've heard that one.

Here is one of my better PG-13 replies:
Why thank you very much.... You can leave now by the way.
What, your still here? Are you confused?...
Let me spell it out for you, Get the H-E-L-L out of my house!
Oh, and say hi to mom for me.

You should add the following categories:

-  'You have a very supportive wife/partner'.
-  'How many nights have you spent in the doghouse/on the couch' !!

Most people see them, find them cool, but don't want to play at all.

I suck a many games (didn't won that toilet trophy because I made shitty score on purpose), but yet, those people suck more than me...

I find it's kind of a deception... Playing a vid is much more fun with a second player, but none of my friends wants to play.

Related story about people reacting to retro games:  Girlfriend and I were having lunch at this retro cafe that mostly specialized in selling candy like big league chew, popeye cigarettes etc...and they had a Ms. Pac Man cocktail that was not set on free play.  I couldn't believe how much trouble inserting a quarter and hitting PLAYER 1 START was giving people!  They were looking at it like it was from Mars.

I've had worst hobbies... people actually can refer to seeing or playing to those, and see what you like in them.

Ok, when I have a dozen, I might get a different reaction, but I am still the new guy around here, so my friends and relatives still find it great.
