That looks amazing!

Global VR...Starburst had it...not sure if they still do. They would probably rent it for a not cheap price no doubt.

Ten SS games...but 8 is my limit!

I have ZERO interest in any of the speakers, I've never really been into listening to people talk about this kind of stuff it just bores me to tears.  I may just buy a ticket and show up for the portion at Gerald's place just to support the cause tho.

Gerald's giving a talk there too, wouldn't you like to hear that?

To be absolutely honest, no, for a couple of reasons.   Gerald is an approachable enough guy that if I really had a question that I needed to ask him I'd just ask him.  The other reason is the how's and whys of why people do things has never really interested me, it's the same reason I don't think I'll ever go to Expo, I don't care why Steve R made one game a certain way and put this toy in that spot on a PF, or his inspiration for the High Speed PF, those things have never interestead me.

Playing the games, enjoying the games, and competing that's what is important to me.  As an example I'd much rather listen to Steve Weibe talk about how to play Donkey Kong over listening to Shigeru Miyamoto talk about how he made Donkey Kong.  Or I'd rather listen to Lyman Sheats talk about playing pinball over Gary Stern talking about making pinball.

But I'm all for supporting the local hobby which is why I'll end up buying a ticket anyway.

Wouldn't a better example be Lyman Sheats talking about designing/writing pinball software vs playing pinball?

For me, everything about this hobby is fascinating. I love hearing about the history, personalities, design, artwork, programming, and playing.

I think that in this case, just talking about what a pinball machine IS is good enough. Most kids under 12 don't even know what a pinball machine is.

Maybe if he talked about how he comes up with the rules and things like that, but it's just my personal preference.

I think Gerald speaking is a great thing, it does nothing but add positive exposure to his current museum project which is of course a greatthing.  It's just not something I've ever been able to listen to and hold my interest.
