I have come up short on bulbs and don't really want to make a US order for them. Where are 44/47/555 bulbs available in Canada (ontario or mail order) at a decent price?
Thanks! |

Yes true, I was thinking about doing that. I did buy a few boxes from Pinball Life before. But after shopping 4 machines, I had no idea how many bulbs it was going to take.... Thanks for re-directing me. |

They have all that stuff at Starburst and they are local and you can pickup. 416-251-2122.
Price may be a little higher than Pinlife, but they have boxes of 10 of each type. |

I have always bought them from Cointech. They are in the US. But are cheap at $8.50US for 10 boxes (you can pick and choose how many of each box you want) and they ship fast. I know several other members have also bought from them. Don't know of any places in Canada that sell them for cheap. Here is their link on ebay: http://cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=200062547371BZM |

If someone wants to organize a "bulk" MACCA order ($8.50 for 100 is a great price...), I'll offer to have them shipped to my US PO Box and pick them up in time for the MAACA meeting at Medvet's on March 10th... (...for those who could not make it, I'd mail out ... )
Lemme know.
Cheers, Steph

Bulk buy sounds like a plan. I'm in. Never can have enough bulbs. If no one is willing to take up thread and monitor it for the orders I will. |

OK since I'll be doing the pick-up, I might as well run with the thread... I can make a pick-up on Thursday March 8th. That means the order should be placed no later than March 1st (...allowing 1 week for delivery ) So let's make the cut-off date : FEB 28th to place your order. (Next Wednesday) As for cost, I'll take the total amount (purchase, shipping, duty/taxes) and divide by the number of boxes. I expect the price per box to work out to about $1.50 CDN Bulbs : $8.50 ( for 10 boxes) Shipping ( as per auction ) $3.00 ( for 10 boxes ) Sub Total = $11.50 US CDN Exchange : 1.16 CDN Subtotal : $13.35 CDN Taxes (GST 6% + PST 7%) = $1.75 Grand Total : $15.10 CDN ( ..for 10 boxes... ) I guess the easiest thing is to simply put your request in this thread. (...and let's try to order in multiples of 10 boxes ! ). I'll start : (NB : These are the number of BOXES of 10 bulbs ) #44 #47 #555 -------------------------------------------- Steph 5 10 15 Go nuts ! Cheers, Steph |

44's for brightening underplayfield inserts, sometimes I find the 47's too dim. Above the playfield and under plastics and constant on GI's the 47's make sense. |
