Now that I've FINALLY got things finished in the bsmt. I thought I'd post a couple of pix...you likely would think I'd have about 50 Pins down there..I WISH! As you can see, other stuff ( i.e. a 2 year old) has INFILTRATED my sacred space!! ..oh well, she'll grow into bigger toys soon!!!
I've been "negotiating" for a while on moving the juke and the vid to the "workout" area of the bsmt...since my working out usually consists of playing Pins, I thought it made perfect sense. The workout I'd get moving 2 more Pins into the bsmt. would be more than I've done on the stuff I have down there right now!!! The 2 that I'd put there right now would be the World Poker Tour currently at the showroom, and believe it or not, a Stern Harley Davidson, which is the machine I miss most out of all the ones I've sold. It'd look great beside G and R.
It's cute how you and your kids 'share' a game room.
Have
Want
-The Getaway: High Speed II!! -Spider-Man -F-14 Tomcat -Guns N' Roses -Lord of the Rings -Twilight Zone
-Medieval Madness! -Indiana Jones (Williams) -Star Trek: The Next Generation -Champion Pub -Terminator 3 -Congo -Johnny Mnemonic -Tales of the Arabian Nights
Yeah, my kids understand the basement is MY gameroom, they better be happy I share the rest of the house! . Actually kind of funny, but outside of using the home theatre, they pity me and "allow" me a good section of it.
WoW!!! Très beau Game Room.... Les petits détail comme les cadres et les tapis en face de chaque machines font tres bien!!! En fait, ou as-tu acheté les tapis.....
Games room looks great. Just needs a few more of your pins moved in.
Love the juke box what make and model is that.
The juke is a Wurlitzer X5. I like it, but it does occupy prime Pin space. It has a pretty cool 3D type front to it, and the sound is decent for a 45's juke. A new needle and some tweaking by Mike helped a lot.

I wish I could write better in French! SORRY! I can understand it though. The carpets came from that guy in Winnipeg( I think who got pressured by the people with the rights to the images, and had to stop making them. I have a few kicking around from when he got out of it, incl. IJ, TZ, and LOTR if anyone wants one..I think I paid around $10/ each so thats all they'd be. I never did get one for G and R as I don't think he ever made it, nor did he make a generic Data East mat. So right now it has a generic Williams mat in front of it..
I'd take the IJ and TZ off your hands if you want to part with them Jim.
Hmmm.. I wonder where you see a TZ in those pictures??

I don't think that would ever be a game Jim would buy to place in his basement now. He has purchased a few of them in hope he would like it. On top of that the TZ he gets are normally nice machine he plays it and say yeah no to slow and he cant get into it.
Life is like Pinball!! You never know where you will bounce or where your going but sometimes you have that one amazing shot But on the other hand you have those darn gutter ball where you just get frustrated.

I do have a nice TZ being delivered tomorrow, but to the warehouse...Loafer means the mats though, not the machines. You won't ever see a TZ in my bsmt.though..can't get into it at all.

Hey Jim nice room. On a different note...how do you like the laminite/hardwood on the basement floor?? I am considering replacing my carpet in the basement. I mainly use the room as my home theater and people have mentioned that a hard wood surface will play havoc with the accoustics. Second, people say that it is colder on your feet. Do you or anyone else have any opinions?? Thanks, Mike.
I just finished my basement with laminate. I got lucky with a Rona sale and picked up 12 mm thick laminate and then I used the underlay that is felt with a vapour barrier. My son and I can run around down there (floor hockey) in socks and/or bare feet with no issues with warmth and that was laid down straight onto concrete. I also did an upstairs bathroom and used the same underlay. Makes a big difference in cushioning in my mind.

Thats exactly what I did...thick laminate with an upgraded underlay...no issues with warmth at all. Rona does seem to have great pricing on laminate. We got ours at that liquidation building supply place in Stittsville, but you have to get lucky and go there when they have decent stuff.
I find it cold, and a little "plastic". I do have some in the house, so am a bit of a hypocrite. Go walk on some and see for yourself before taking the plunge. Watch the laminate floor on concrete. If it's not level you may have lots of bounce in the floor. I have a mix of stone & ceramic tile, hardwood, carpet, and laminate throughout the house, and dislike the laminate the most. It it's in the budget, think of stone tile with heat pads underneath, by far the best, otherwise, as others have mentioned, go with best laminate you can get.
