Hello all, A funny thing happened today at a local gas station/convenience store... proving that the MAACA shirts work!!! I stopped at the Ultramar gas station in Vaudreuil which is located at the corner of St-Charles and Joseph-Carrier (which is the street you are on when taking 40 westbound and entering the Vaudreuil (St-Charles blvd.) exit. I gas up the MAACAwagon and head to the cash to pay. The guy at the cash sees the shirt on my back and says "Hey!!! You know that group? I just registered not long ago. I love it! So... you in the group too?" Of course I am all proud and reply: "I hope so...I am the president of MAACA!" The guy presented himself as Peter and says he owns the place, asked me in what whereabouts I live at and says he saw the MAME post and was looking into a MAME project for me. I had Marie (who is feeling a bit under the weather) in the van with Brian so I couldn't chat much, but I must say that situations like this keep me going in the hobby. I just love the fact that I get to meet people all the time because of MAACA and the hobby. It's great!!! So, all this aside, if you are in or simply passing through the Vaudreuil area and need some gas or snacks, stop off to see Peter (I don't know his member name yet!!! ) and say hi! Again, his Ultramar station is on St-Charles blvd at the corner of Joseph-Carrier, which is just north of the 40, behind the "Traffic" bar which faces the 40. Tell him Sparky sent ya!!! Ian |
