Looking for a retina scan "eye" and both of the hot wheels cars.
I believe Spacecadet has the eye and one of the cars for me, however, I am having trouble getting in touch of him.
Also looking for plastics. I source for reproduction or NOS plastic set would be good. I have seen 1 set in my searches, however, it is all blue and does not look like the original plastics.
thanks all

Both the eye and the real cars are near impossible to find. You can temporarily use any hotwheel cars but the older all metal ones work better - that's what the originals are. The newer ones you buy now are a metal shell but a plastic frame and they don't have enough weight / inertia.. Not sure where this DM came from but if it's Jim's, ensure the spring steel flap is there to retain the top car and prevent it from rolling down. It should hold it about halfway up that lane. See IPDB for pics or I could give you one if needed..
For the eyeball, you can use another pinball as a temporary fix.

I think pinball would be too heavy to be used in substitution. Pha, I may have a spare eye but it will undoubtedly have a air bubble in it as most do. If that does not bother you let me know and I will search to see where I placed it.
Ok so I take back what I said!! You can get reasonable facsimilies of the eyeball and cars and all for under 10$ total!! Cool.. Not sure the 2$ eyeball can take the abuse without breaking but you let us know!

Yes I need the spring steel flap. That is excellent if you have a extra one.
I do have a pinball in place of the eye for now.
Thanks Mike

The air bubble bothers me not. Let me know if you can find it,
Thanks my friend.

The pinball does not have direct contact with the eyeball .. the kinetic energy is transferred via a metal wall that separates the two
Yes I know.. Notice in my sig block that I too have a DM... I'm just saying that the originals always cracked and leaked whatever fluid is in there so I fail to see how a "dollar store made in china by children replica" will not fail even quicker.. Unless Wms used cheapo crap from the start then you'll get the same mileage out of it!

Just a thought.... this "all blue" set you found... Maybe it's just the protective film over the plastics that are making them look blue?
D
There is a demolition man shop job on you tube and the guy doing it removes these same "blue" plastics and denoted them as not original.

Make sure the eyball you get if you decide to get one online is the right diameter. I had one at home (dollar store kind) but it was too big compared to the original.
