The Location I am looking at is a Licensed Pool Hall, So No minors and the people playing tend to go to play Pinball, at least some of them do for sure. I have had in there historically: Stargate, Demo Man, Getaway and Currently Congo (The one that Jim had in his shop for a while a year or two ago). I used to run 2 games in there but as soon as a new one would come in the old one would drop to maybe 1/10th of the new one, so I have one in there now and a Buck Hunter 2.

I do have games to put in there that I have been acquiring with this very thing in mind, I am just curious what people think, I am leaning towards the No Fear that came from Jim to JD3 to me, it is a Perfect location game in that it has Cabinet fade and a wear spot on the playfield in front of the right flipper. I know many of you played this game at Jims before it made it's way west. I also have a spare WH2O that I am considering trying there, I talked to a Vendor one time who told me that WH2O was the best earning Pin he ever had. I also have a WCS94 that I ran in a different place one time that I may put in, or maybe a Judge Dredd, I am sure most people never saw that and it has a certain WoW Factor. Maybe Goldeneye? Great appeal with the Bond theme, or Who Dunnit, Cool theme, Slots are neat etc.

This location is not right for a vintage game, If it was a high traffic area I can see that working, but not here, at least not for very long.

I was thinking of buying a Spider-Man to put in there for a while and then bring home with a "Gee Honey, I had to change the game for something different!" line to get it in the house.   But I don't think that is necessary, She would just roll her eyes and then Kick my Butt on it!

I have been trying to get an AF from a friend, the game has a fairly rough playfield and would be perfect for a location, but so far, no luck!

I also don't mind putting something fairly High end in there, Where else are you going to go to play these games? I know I have bought Very Many Pins that I had never tried, just so I could play them as they are no where to be found, and, On the off chance you do run into one, the odds of it playing well are slim to none. That said, I really need to get that Mario Andretti shopped, I am guilty of neglect like so many others! Heck, I had an IJ on location and right beside it a Baby PacMan, Then Hardkor found them and... Well, You know where this is headed... Bye Bye!!

So, More input is appreciated, I like the AFM idea, but I don't have a spare and they are tough to find, and I like mine right where it is!

Anybody have any "A" list games in less than stellar shape that they want to move?? Let me know, I would be very interested.

Dave

For a location/route, I'm with Sparky thinking a cheaper older machine is easier for general non-pinball playing crowd.   I have no experience, but thinking a 60/70's pin would attract the 50+ crowd.    Say in a hospital waiting room - or @ a Kiwanis / Legion building.   Mind you a quarter-a-play would be asking a lot for my dad to cough up for a 2 minute game.

My experience, just having pins for 10 months now is that the simple ruleset games get the most play because the people can easily understand what's going on.   When they play the DMD's their balls drained before they know it.

How would a Bobby Orr Power Play do at the Sensplex in Ottawa do???  4 rinks full of young kids all day long!

HMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM........selling shoes is overrated anyway...and more income means more Pins!!!!!

They only made 3,425 AFM's and at their price, this game shouldn't go back on location.

I wouldn't go with anything that looks crappy. Even an older title that looks nice will do better than something crappy. Let's face it, very few know pinball as well as collectors do and so they would be less fussy about title and more about appeal.

If it were me I would put a WW or ES out. Proven money maker that can be found for a fair price.

Getaway also would be a pick I would say.

Hey Necro, Is there a list of "Proven Money Makers" out there?? I seem to recall seeing something like that...
