I know there are a few other Transformers Fans/Collectors on here, so I just thought I would share with you my Fiancae's crowing achivment as a Transformer Fanatic.
Made of Styrofoam and wood, she picked it up today at the Toronto Transformers Convention.
That is only the upper torso, the 5 1/2' legs are not attached as we don't have high enough celings
So we've come to the conclusion that the next house will need valted celings as well as a walk out basment

It's funny, just to reiterate what Duane was saying about Dee and I being meant for each other, the conversation on buying this went something like this.
D: "Adam the 10Ft Optimus is for sale and it's only $400"
Adam: "What the hell are you talking to me for, hurry up and go buy it!"
She ended up talking him down and go it for $300 which was a steal of a deal if you ask me
But yea she is freaking estatic, it's a really well done piece, needs a few touchups and some glue but other then that really cool, I just wish we had cealings high enough to fully set it up.
Peter Cullen the voice of optimus is comming to Botcon this year, so Denise was pretty excited and she wanted something unique for him to sign rather then just another toy in a box like everyone else. Obviously bringing the Optimus on a plane would be impossible and even bringing a piece has it's risks as it could break so Denise and I came up with this idea

The dude on the left of me kills ducks for a living and for a hobby traps and skins animals, the older couple on the right are really cool, very nice, the husband is an old biker drives his Harley every day. He clips out for sale ads he finds in the local paper for pinballs when he sees them for me.
The rest of the street, there all redneck hicks anyway, I see no diffrence between what we do and their obessions with 4x4's and snowmobiles.
You should get the sawzall and gas torch out and cut the doors and fenders off the car and make it look like it's transforming. I bet he'd sign that picture for sure.

Yea I don't think my future wife would appriciate me cutting the doors and fenders off her car I wouldn't even be allowed to sleep in the garage as that is where the car sleeps
i thought it sucked as far as the whole "Transformers" theme is concerned, but was awesome in a "hot-chick + explosions + giant robots = turn your brain off and have fun with it" kinda way..

She loves the new movie, the last movie was what rekindled her obession with Transformers. She watched the movie I think about 15 times when it was out in theaters (mind you I worked at Cineplex at the time so movies were free), and she has watched it I cant count how many times on DvD.
She is hoping that at Botcon this year they will screen the new movie at the convention, but no guarntees on that.
Regardless of a 10-foot Transformer in the back seat... the fact remains that she is a good looking girl in a convertible Stang... either way, that turns heads!

Since you are going to meet him, you could get the voice samples that you want. Then you could always check out one of the proximity devices in a cheap halloween ornament. You might even be able to rip one out and use it.

there are a lot of crappy outdoor electronic bird things out there, you press and hold a button and record a message, and then anytime the motion sensor goes off, it replays it, hack that and build it into your character, really cheap and it will work, may sound like crap, but who knows till ya try
