They had many kits with 4 inserts at Parts Source on Merrivile, however, the only M6X1 they had were inserts only, not a kit.

The dude said that they do not make kits for M6X1, which is TOTAL BS if they have the replacement inserts...meh

The kits there were only 19.99!! the brand was "OEM"

I do not want to spend a arm and a leg on these as I only need 2, and that is IF I ever decide to take my Intake Manifold and valve covers off for a deep cleaning/gasket replace. I usually do this every 2-3 years just for fun mostly, but will not be doing it until

Is it just me or are kids getting dumber these days...

EXAMPLE...

I was at home depot the other day, wanted to buy a ruler (metric) that had millimeters on it.  Dude hands me a ruler with 1/32's on it and says there you go. I tell him that's not metric to which he answers "yes it is" (OMG)

So I make him pull out his tap measure and point to the 1/16th's and say what are those, he says mm's (wow) I then ask him if he is aware that there are 10 mm in a CM, he looks at me like i am a retard and says "yeah" I then point to his so called mm on the tape measure and say, so how come none of these mm line up with the even CM on the other side of the measuring tape?  I get the deer in the headlights look for a second or to... then he says, so I guess those are not mm's

If ever you are stuck, we sell an M6 thread repair kit. 85$ and it includes the drill bit, tap, installation tool and 12 inserts. We also have a master kit at 380$ which includes many sizes of metric threads.

Pricey? Yes... but these are not your typical off-the-shelf tools. Heavy-duty industrial grade. Our machinists have been using the same kit for over 20 years and have done literally thousands of thread replacements, so they are made to last. Maybe not the best option for you for a simple repair though, but it is available.
