hey guys

I got my system up & ready

so today i tryed it
everything works fine
mamewah as front end.

then i tryed to fire up some rom , but there is always a difference of resolution let say From :Street fighter II  compared to   TMNT , or wrestlefest , ... the black borders will be more important on TMNT & WWF ,  than Street fighter II

i always need to adjust the screen back with the knobs it gets frustrating

isn't there a way that they all start in the same resolution , without changing

because if i do add black borders on my plexi glass it will hide some games on the sides....

I got the same problem with my MAME machine, still i am running MAME 0.88 so that could be the problem. But keep in mind that the resolution will probably change a lot between all of the games because they were made for specific moniters and they were made to meet certain specs.

All of the SNK games are the same resolution beacuse the are made by SNK. With others you will not have the same luck.

I don't know if there is a way to change the resolution of the games to a specific constant but if you do find a way many of them will not be looking too good.

My two cents,
Tom

Go to the MAMEWAH site and download the MAME Resolution tool.  READ THE INSTRUCTIONS!!!

It takes some time to go through all resolutions but it's worth it.  It'll then apply all your resolution settings to ALL games.

If you want to paint your glass just make sure you leave the entire screen visible.  Some games will not fill the full screen, you'll have to live with it.

Welcome to MAME, if you want a game to look like it did in the arcade... buy the game

I have the same thing (full set + full atari 2600, full Daphne, full nebula, etc)..  And it took me about 1 hour.  You're just TESTING resolutions, seeing if they work, and if they don't you force one that does work.  Yes there are 5500+ games but only about 100 different resolutions.
