I have a number of machines that I lubricated the flipper mechanisms with dry lube. Now they stick even worse. I now realise after reading the lable that it leaves a wax residue behind to protect against rust and moisture. Any idea on how to get this wax off (other than what is says on the label to reapply and wipe off excess with a cloth) in order to get in all of the joints I would have to take them all apart. Any ideas on hat can I use  what do you use instead of this stuff and still lube the joints and flipper sleeves.

Yes.  I.E. Flipper rebuild.

What exactly did you lubricate?

At least remove the flipper mechs and resleeve. Then immerse the flipper link and parts in solvent.

On the other hand, just order rebuild kits at PBR, very reasonable.

NEVER lubricate! It's not your car!

I lubricated the springs and sleeves and joints. Has anyone used carborator cleaner to get off the wax film and remove any excess material?

Once again, it's not your car!
Nobody here will condone lubricants or solvents for pinball machines except one guy. I won't say who it is but everyone advised him against it.

yes, its true, these lubricants etc may cause your pinball machine to set ablaze...for real. Thats what happens when machines get lubed. You`ll have to clean all that gunk off and it`ll be alright again.

Right now you made a small "boo boo" don't make it bigger by trying to find an EASY solution.  At this stage take it apart and clean it with solvant.  Remember this is a hobby and you just learned a very good lesson!

Take the time to do it right, set yourself up with a libation and enjoy doing the job right.
