Finally got my mame machine up(well sorta). quick question.. the picture and resolutions display well but the screen is very jittery.. at times it jumps up and down and it definately interferes with game play... is this a common problem?..is there a software setting I may have missed with my arcadevga in the resolutions possibly or if its in the actual monitor itself.
has anyone experienced something like this before |

Is it a jitter? Or like a rolling sync issue? I had that and after playing around with the hold, it disappeared.
Is this a new monitor? Older monitor? Any sort of scrunching at the top of the picture?

What screen resolution are you using? It could be an interlaced mode which would give you that kind of problem. |

old monitor. its a jitter.. doesnt look like its a vhold i've tried playing with that already.. i'll try some more troubleshooting the top of the picture does have a few lines in it (i'll play with that setting too i suppose).. right now im using 640x480.. it does it with mamewah and also for games. i have been changing the settings on the back of the monitor.. im just trying to figure out if this is more of a hardware or software thing right now |

You need to change your video mode in the software to something that is not interlaced. That will get rid of the 'flicker' that you are seeing. Use 640x288 or 320x240. |
