Yes they are planning to make it for sure...but who knows when...maybe in a few years?

By the way...how much is a CPR playfield worth?

Indeed, I'm waiting for the CPR repro.

I was told it would be around $800CDN.
(... which is ALOT better than $2000 US ).

I'm in no rush...

Unfortunately that probably doesn't mean it will get any priority.

The way I see it CPR will make just about ANY pf they can secure licensing for reasonably. It's the artists who drive the new projects. I think if you were to ask CPR what they are planning to make it would be pretty wide open. In terms of getting someone to digitize it for free is another question.

Why would they produce a pf for such a low production title? Aren't there far more HS's that could use one? Unless you have an artist on the project right now that has a vested interest I don't see Joust getting far in the near future.

My question would be who is the artist working the project and when does he forecast completion.

If I may add to Necro's post, Mike Purcell of CPR has told me that making playfields is extremely cost and labor intensive. It is why they do so many runs. Plastics and backglasses on the other hand are extremely easy and quick to do, once the art is avilable from an artist.

Playfields involve lots of planning with other parties (Churchill cabs for the wood, the inserts supplier, etc...) and involves MANY processes to get to the end product. So once the art is done, Mike and Kevin have to plan a lot to get them done.

...Because some crazy guy bought one for big money ... so now everybody who owns a joust thinks the game is worth big money and will gladly shell out 700$ for a new repro...

same with Medieval Madness... I mean it REALLY isn't that old and it REALLY doesn't need it but since the game was paid so high by a few people, the same thing applies and people will just buy it because they think they are getting a good deal since a NOS one would go so high.

Ah see this guy took an interest in the project which is great news for Joust owners. IMHO it has not so much to do with the cost of the game. Guys are putting more into pf's than they paid for a project game. If you like a game it's worth it to a select few to put big money into them. Is it good economics? No but the fact is no one is going to make a pf cheaper because it's a cheaper game. They all run up in the several of hundred dollar range which is probably a function of the work required to make it and less a factor of how much they can get for them.

Beside the money factor, the emotional factor that no money can buy. Yes, and YES, this pinball machine will grow in value a lot more in the future because it's a rarity and it is very unique. CPR are fantastic, they make repro playfield with exact color and details are very fine.

Joust pinball are already no more affordable. It have a GREAT collector value. I would like to buy one but they are very rare and very pricey.

When a pinball can get the emotional factor like Joust, the price go up very fast !!

If CPR make this repro i will certainly buy one even if i don't have this pin
