Just wanted to say that Viking is in the car in the driveway

Many thinks to Rick (HIGHSPEED) for getting this pin and keeping me in mind.   I've been wanting a Viking since the day I knew one existed (about 2 years ago).    I was brought up by Canadian / Danish parents - and was always jokingly told that I am 50% Canadian, 50% Danish and 100% Viking.   So, I had to own this pin.

Tough, stressful times for a lot of us - and certainly those still @ Nortel like me - so it was hard to buy this, but I have bought and really hope I can hold on it.

To share in my self-humility, I had no clue it was not chime sounds - great surprise the digital sounds - as it rounds out the mini-theme I want in the gameroom going from wedgehead to DMD.   I now have a wedgehead, Sinbad/BOPP (chimes), Viking, FH, TZ     Second surprise, after I had disconnected all the connectors to load her up, was that the backbox is hinged - DOOH!

Gotta bug a neighbour in the morning to help drag her in the house.    Tomorrow is Fastlevn celebration (a mini halloween) for the Danish Club in Ottawa.  Great timing.   I know, the artwork is based on a Swedish novel about Vikings, but its close, ...

Thanks and cheers Rick!

Congrats Doug !

I know how much you wanted that game... It does look very nice
from the pics. Glad you ended-up with it. It was your destiny

(With the complete lack of job security at Nortel these days,
I am sure it made this purchase decision a very difficult one).

Enjoy your new machine !

Cheers,
- Sylvain.

Thanks Duane - Jen & I did it already.   Its setup and love it - great shape, too.   I heard about your purchase, too - interested to see it as I heard its impressive, too.

Man, pinball's a small community, but spread over a great distance!
