MAACA has so gotta meet up to play this game on location!!!
Geoff was kind enough to let me pop over tonight to play a few games to break it in (and help me decide if it's my next NIB ). It is a BLAST of a game, Super fast and great flow - actually makes me think more Steve Ritchie than John Borg. The kickback is blazing fast to the right flipper and hitting the guy in the middle with the magnets whipping the ball around is very fun. Because of the magnet action, the ball doesn't tend to go SDTM too often but I had it whipped to the outlanes by the magnet strength. Actually really nice flow to the ramps also - very satisfying to hit them in sequence. Art package is also sharp - I am not a Marvel buff in the least (note guy in middle comment ) but even not knowing Ironman very well, the game still is appealing with the art and figures on the playfield and especially the cabinet art.
Overall, great game so far even with the early software. Now the only question is how much I have to work on Geoff to start operating some games in the East end to save some travelling

This game ROCKS! I went with Geoff to pick the game up and helped break it in last night What an incredible game and it's only at code version .7!
I think Stern has produced a home run hit with this one. The game is fast, fast, fast. Our game times were less than 3 minutes! It's brutal. The game ships with the lanes pretty wide open. The magnet is unforgiving and sends the ball to the left outlane often enough to be challenging. You really need to aim your shots at the Iron Monger to try and avoid the magnet -- which I like.
The shots themselves are challenging as well. Hitting the kick back, middle shot, and right ramp are not dead easy. Again I like this. I like a game that gives some challenge.
For those that have complained ball times are too long on Sterns --- your game has arrived!
Like Medvet said, the game feels very Ritchie like. It really flows and I love the ramp shots. You can hit one then the other to build up points. They are smooth like butter. The real points are multi-ball...
And MB doesn't disappointed. There are several MBs and they can be stacked! Plus you can start double scoring. All this in version .7 of the code.
The artwork is awesome, sounds is awesome, even the animations are awesome. I'm really impressed with the game.
Ok so now I want to play it more. I know where you live Geoff. I can't be held responsible if I show up with beer in hand. Just kidding.
MMM Beer! Oh now I sound like Homer. Does he have the right Idea or what? Come on over, you have about 48 hours left before it is on route.

I took last night off from my GF but I want to see her tonight. There is not a beer in the world (or pinball) that would take me away from my woman. Tomorrow night I am home and you are welcome then.
