Yea, I know but if I bid $120 I won't pay more then $120 unless I bid again, which is why I don't bid $150 right off the bat. Like I said just my way of doing things I may not really want to pay $150 but I want the option, so that's why I hold back. So as an example if I bid $120 and then someone bids $130 I can think if I really want to submit that bid for $150, I know if I do it will only put on the next bid value so it would be $135 but I may decide to just stop at $120, again just my way of doing things |

Isn't it immaterial when you bid?
If your willing to spend $100 on something then whether you put the bid on in the first second or the last second you'll win if your $100 is the highest bid otherwise you don't. Sniping adds a bit to the excitment but it doesn't effect the outcome of the auction, the person with highest bid wins. In fact (mentioned in the previous post) if you put your $100 on first and someone matches it then you'd win.
Just my opinion.
For me sniping solves the issue of tire kickers who when you bid early just seem to bump bump bump you up. I agree with the early post as well that by bidding right at the end (10 sec or less) and bidding the max I was willing to pay I know that either I'll get it (and maybe get a deal because it doesn't give other bidders a chance to respond) or I won't but I don't get caught up in the competion of bidding against someone and driving the price up. I've been on other auctions sites where a bid in the last minute of the auction adds 5 minutes more time to the auction .. that will limit sniping but also limit the number of bidders. |

US $13,322.00 and 9 days until the end I was just thinking about this, the guy says its never been opened and the first thing i think of is are there Batteries on the CPU board from the factory?? If so i can imagine there would be some damage to the board if they have been sitting on there from 1994. |

If you have $13K to spend on a pin, what's another $500 for a minty board -- assuming there is any damage. Honestly, I cann't understand paying that kind of money for a pin. This is going to be an interesting auction. The highest price I have heard of for a pin (before this auction) was $12K USD when the exchange was 50% and that was for a Big Bang Bar. Duane |

Gene Cunningham reportedly paid almost $20k for his original BBB. I believe he made reference to this during his TOPcast interview with Clay. To my knowledge, that's the record sale price for a pin. |

Hard to believe what these things are worth. I have a friend that was an Op that used to buy a lot of TAF's and he said that Starburst used to blow these things out on specials for cheap. Back in the day when they were running lots of titles he would just wait for the specials and buy his inventory then.
That would be a good thread to show some original invoices that might have been left in machines. |

Back to the laws of supply and demand. Obviously the demand out weighs the supply and with titles like WOF to look forward to, I would say the supply is limited to the inventory left to us by Williams IMHO. Well there is always Wayne Gillard too...... |

$18,001 final selling price. Should i roll my eyes or be shocked? If this is what they are worth I stole mine when I bought it. |
