That's pretty impressive-it looks like he had at least 6 of the programmable bricks in that setup.  I'm actually pretty impressed that the motors are strong enough and fast enough to build flippers with though-the last time I used a Mindstorms kit was maybe 10 years ago, and I don't remember the motors being that impressive.  I haven't tried out the NXT version though, so I have no idea what improvements have been made.
