Thanks again to ME for allowing us to come over and share in the unveiling. 24 is a good game with some decent shots and flow. The way Chloe says jackpot sometimes is freaking hilarious.
Pretty cool game, fun toys and interesting shots. Playfield's a winner. Didn't play enough to judge the rules, but seemed sufficently complex and fun. The art is decent, not bad but not great, just another photoshop job, but not bad looking. The sound is probably the weakest Chloe does all the callouts and she sounds completely uninterested. Although, that may be how her character is, very calm, weird choice to use her in that case. Her jackpot calls were so subdued it was extremely fun to imitate them. The performance was the complete opposite to John-Rhys Davies in lotr. The animations were decent, thankfully they're not scenes from the show like ij4 or SM.
Conclusion: worth your coin.

My only complaint with 24 is ball times are way to friggin long. This comming from me when I don't mind too long ball times, but the time I've spent on it, you can keep the ball in play forever.

Right out of the box, I would agree with you. I also found the game provided a very safe strategy. To lite lock on suitcase MB, I think you have to hit the left ramp x times and you can do this shot easily from the left flipper. Keep doing the shot until lock is lite. Then the lock is lite on the right ramp. Repeat this until you start the MB. Once in MB, you can start and stack modes, and other MBs. That's when I started hitting the more dangerous shots. Both Sens Freak and I had very, very long games. I ended up grand champ at 404 million or billion (whatever the 000 range is).
After our long games, ME made some software changes and the ball times decreased a ton. Since then she has made further changes and I'm told ball times have been decreased even more. What was surprising is the ball is rarely lost out the sides, so increasing the outlanes, I think, wouldn't really increase the challenge.
Like others said, I found Chloe to be a strange choice for the jackpot call outs. Her voice is very monotone. On one of the call outs, she sounds angry -- JACKPOT! (probably thinking "How many f**** times do I have to repeat jackpot? What am I getting paid?"). We all got a good laugh at that.
All that said, I like the game and look forward to playing it with the increased settings. It definitely has a Spiderman feel to it. I love the drop targets, the safe house, and the sniper shot. It's also the first game that I have ever played that so effectively indicates the shot to start MB. When you hit the left ramp and lite lock, the suite case pops open and you see it out of the corner of your eye -- even if you are looking at the left ramp. Nicely done.
