This may sound like a weird request, but figure what the hell maybe someone has one kicking around.

I'm looking for an AS/400 from IBM.  I don't need anything bleeding edge and I'm really not looking to spend a ton on it.  Just need something that works really.

Reason is the tournament software that was running at the Canadian Championship and Toronto Championship was running on a DB2 AS/400 Database in the backend at my buddies work with a Flex front end.  So I'd like to have something local to me so in the event he gets canned at his job for whatever reason we don't lose access to the database and software.

So if anyone has something let me know.

Why not port the db to db2 for windows/linux?  There is a free version of db2 for single user out there.  Flex should not see any difference, just a different connection (odbc?) string.

Way out of my budget, I'm looking for $500 or less.  But thanks for the link.

Not really what I'm looking for as that is just an emulator for a terminal not the actual AS400 OS.

Cool, just let me know the specs so I can fire them over to my buddy and he'll let me know if it will work or not.

Cause there is some handling logic in the way that the data is returned that is handled by the AS400 rather then DB2 and my buddy is a programmer in AS400 and doesn't know how to transfer that over into a DB2 version on windows.

Wish you had posted this a month ago...

If mark doesn't have any of he boat anchors, I;ll be in a remote office next week, and will take a peek to see if I didn't pitch any from there.

I bet shipping would kill me though, thanks for the link though.

Hard Drives are missing as well so I'd have to source those as well.

But I'm interested if you find any more boat anchors at your office if mark doesn't have anything.
