Many of you have been hearing me complain about all the issues I have been dealing with shopping my Cirqus Voltaire, the latest issue is my Neon tube needs to be replaced. I have talked to one of my customers, a local sign shop that specializes in neon signage, and he will make me replacement tube. I will go visit him on Tuesday with my bad tube. They sell for $90, plus shipping in the US. I may be able to get a very good price if there is some quantity. If anyone needs a tube, please PM me and once I meet with him, I will let you know the price. I am planning to get a white tube.

What color do you guys have on your CV's?

Red and Green seem to be the standard factory colors and I hear there were also some blue or purples. Just wondering what color is best or most popular.

Purple would be cool too looking at the pf art. I think most are green. Red doesn't go with anything on that game IMHO color wise.

I have seen 1 with purple and the others i have seen where green.
But i think i saw 5 in my hole life

I had almost bought that game, you had beat me to it.  Burlington VT if I remember correctly...

I would be interested, Mine is Red and I would prefer Green or Purple (Not that I have been able to set it up yet). Let me know how it works out.

You are correct, it came from Vermont, but far the worst pinball deal I have ever done. You definitely did not miss out on that deal!!

You local sign shop will charge you around $55-60 bucks.. thats how much i paid about 2 (or 3 years) ago...

I have purple in mine, with yellow Managrie ball.  You have to make sure you get the tube to be white when turned off.  This gives a diffused neon colour and looks better (opinion of course).  Clear tubes give a different light.  All the red ones I have seen in Cvs have the clear tube and they look bad.

Well, I finally got mine set up (It is hard to leave a new machine folded for close to a week!!) The Neon is Red and I thought I would Hate it. But with the Jackpot inserts red and the Pop Bumper Caps also Red, I kind of like it. It certainly isn't as bad as I thought. I would still be interested in another color, But if it doesn't happen, I would not be as concerned as before.

Well, My Wife set the Grand Champion score last night* so if you ask her, that means I am looking to sell!! Afterall, I can't let her be the Grand Champion, Can I?? Maybe you better ask her when you are out this way!    She used to Hate the other one we played a few times, but after last nights game, She seems a little more encouraged about it.

Hmmmm, Not sure, You will have to tell me, I have a new one to put in, and the old one has a hole where his nose was, so... I would guess "Yes"...

I saw at least one for sale somewhere recently. I bet they are around because they were a problem, thus the replacement.

Does your pf say "Tickle the Ringmaster" or "Defeat the Ringmaster"?

Then your CV is the production machine and should have the regular ringmaster. If it states TICKLE, then it is one of the first 200 sample games. My CV, the one that has driven me nuts for the last few weeks, is a a sample machine.   But I also have the regular ringmaster.

Didn't realize the sample has "Tickle". Tickle? That's kind of queer...I mean odd...or strange...unusual...no queer is a good way to describe that   No wonder they changed it to DEFEAT. Can you imagine this in a bar in down town Calgary, "Come on boys, watch me tickle the ringmaster. I'm damn near at the wizard mode." Silently they all look at each other, "I told you there was something queer about Joe -- not that there is anything wrong with that".

Hey, I only own the games, I do not design them.

Maybe they should of made it "HIT" the ringmaster, a little more masculine.

Finally, the Neon on my Cirqus Voltaire lives. It needed a new transformer and the ULN2003A chip on the driver board.

Now if i could figure out how take a picture under 500K, I could post a picture of the final product.

Yes, I came across that when I was searching for a replacement, they look great. I did not need a tube in the end, so I will leave my old one in for now. Congrats on your CV...and thanks for the info!!
