I'm likely purchasing a lot of CBX parts from  a collector that's getting out due to health reasons (his reason to me).  There are some parts I'm keeping and using, others I'll flog in the appropriate places, but the kicker is, his '79 is part of the bulk buy.  He is the original owner.  Although I have not yet seen it in person, and won't 'till I actually pick everything up, it looks beautiful.  The engine has been completely rebuilt with zero miles.  It's candy glory red and also has the factory sport kit.

My friend who had dibs on the bike is now thinking he's not buying it.  I have an '80 myself that looks identical to this '79 and don't need/can't afford to keep both.  The bike needs final assembly (carbs and airbox etc.), which I'll likely do as well as a basic break in of the engine.  Based on what I've seen of the bike, it's collector condition.  He has not been too forthcoming with pics, but I can take my own when I pick this stuff all up.

Let me know if you have any interest.  I'll also be approaching a couple local potential buyers once I have items in hand just so you know.  Having said that, all things being equal, I will give preference to a MAACA member.  This will be a cash and carry deal with local pick up.
