I just updated my RFM to NUCORE and replaced the CRT with a 23" LCD. I noticed that the Prism and daughter boards are still going for a premium and there is also the monitor. Should I keep it for the nostalgic or sell. I would like to recoup some money I put into it.

I guess the question comes down to whether you think the game is going to be more desireable down the road with the original hardware in it.
I know from cars deviation from "stock" has a negative affect on value. I am not so sure this is going to be the case with this game. The only reason to keep it would be to have the option of reversing what you did. If there is no merit in doing that then I agree with Steph. Sell it before they are plentiful.
I noticed just the other day an auction for a prism card on ebay. I am certain someone was holding onto this waiting for it's value to rise due to rarity, then had to rethink this strategy since Nucore really eliminates the requirement.
In the end I think most of us that end up having major hardware issues with P2K would probably opt for Nucore vice putting in original hardware at the current prices the OEM equipment sells for. If the price drops on the OEM equipment around, there may be a reversal in this attitude if OEM replacement is significantly cheaper and less work.
