Just a general poll on tumblers?   Do most use the CV-2001 or the smaller Berry model?    I'm thinking the CV-2001 seems a reasonable price if you are going to stay in this hobby, but then there's all the other tools to buy (sander, polishing wheel, ...).

Thanks.

I use the Berry.  It does the job.  Not familiar with the other model.

I'm still tumbler-less myself but will probably pick up a Berry when the time comes.

Some RGP opinions on Berry.

And some for CV-2001.

Your mileage may vary.
Good luck

I've got a berry, and I've used the damn thing so much I've already had to replace the motor in it!!!!  I will be looking to buy the CV-2001 model just because it's bigger.  The berry won't allow you to rumble shooter rods or flipper base plates, and other large mech's like that.

But for the most part, the Berry is great!

Berry vibratory polisher and an old Sears rotary barrel tumbler I picked up at Allentown for 10$. The Berry gets A LOT of use... especially by other members!

I have found corncob media easily at pet stores but no luck with walnut shell media as of yet.

Retiring soon...

If you guys have Petsmart in PQ, they carry the walnut media.  It's actually iguana "bedding", and it's cheap.  Big bag enough for 3-5 fills was $13?

Where do you guys get "Flitz"? I have used Novus 3 as an additive with good results, but I would like to try the Flitz.

So I went with the "Berry", and have been to 3 pet stores looking for the "media".   Pet Smart in Nepean & Kanata (Ottawa) don't have it, and I also tried Big Al's fish store in Kanata.   Any other ideas in Ottawa?
