A few weeks ago, I saw an ad on Kijiji in Barrie for a Flight 2000. I saw one crappy photo and had no other information to go on, but with the help of my good pal Menace, I made arrangements to acquire the machine. With my love for old Stern machines and all the repro parts being made for F2K, all I knew was I wanted to have it.

Once Menace got the machine to his place, he took some more detailed photos for me:

This repro backglass from Kevin Wayte at Classic Playfield Reproductions in Nova Scotia is absolutely STUNNING! It's soooo freakin' sweet. The pics really don't do it justice.

And I don't even have the machine yet! I don't even know if it works! I'll be picking it up in a few weeks and all I can say is I CAN'T WAIT to get started on this project. Kevin at CPR says new playfields will be out next year.

CPR is out of plastic sets, so if you purchased a set and want to sell it, let me know. Otherwise, I'll include a set on my next Marco order.

Merry Christmas to me! And a BIG THANK YOU to CPR for making these awesome repro parts for classic machines! And a super thanks to Doug (aka Menace) for taking the time out of his Sunday afternoon to go pick up the machine for me.

I received my WCS94 plastics from CPR today as well and they're amazing as well! (I bought the last demo set, so there are a couple dings, but overall nice!).

Hey Cooke, if you like Stern white wood, I have a Trident with your name on it still.....

Wayne: I'd love your Trident, but just don't have the space (especially after this acquisition).

For those who don't know, Charles is the alien the protected the machine while it was in its previous owner's garage for who knows how long. He came with the machine:

...wait. Look at the artists section in CPR's website... one is apparently working on a F2K playfield.

Retiring soon...

Watch out. That machine may now have the anal probe mod.

That's hillarious, glad to see the little yellow dude got a good home ( I has thought about calling about him too since we do a big Halloween display each year).
