Another opinion question regarding a set of machines.  Of course I know there was Star Wars, Star Wars Trilogy and Episode I Star Wars (pinball 2000).  Most people have said they would not want to own any of these machines.  Boring i suppose.  I'd like to hear what people here have to say.  Is there one you prefer over the others?  Are there any you would actually consider owning?  Why?  why not??

Look forward to hearing everyone "sound off"...

Buy an RFM with a SWE1 kit. That way you can have your SW pin and recover from your mistake by converting it back to RFM.

Had SWE1 in my collection for a while, and it was the least played by my friends, even the kids didn't care for it. Much better games out there than those three, IMHO.

It has been scientifically proven that light is faster than sound. That is why some people seem brilliant........until they open their mouth!

I have played DE and EP1, I love the DE game (yes, I own it).  EP1 is not a good game but the kit to switch to RFM is a good idea (I plan to own one).  If you are a Star Wars fan and want to own one of the 3, go for the DE.

I am a huge star wars fan (and Indiana Jones fan as everyone knows already).  How much should I expect to pay for a fully shopped Data East Star Wars?  I have a lead on one that would cost me $2295 + $100 ship + gst.  It is fully shopped and 100% technically sound.  good deal or no??

I believe book value is in the $1700 range.  $2295 is way to much.

I might bring mine home tomorrow (The Data East one). It is not shopped yet, but plays well. If you want to try one to get a feel for it.

I wonder where you all get your "book" value information??  I have searched through classifieds on Mr Pinball and on the internet.  Seems that a DE Star Wars currently sells for anywhere from $1800 - $2650.  So how is $2295 including shipping Way Too Much??  Consider that shipping is usually $400, I am only really paying $1900 and the machine has been shopped and is in great condition.

I understand that most do not feel this is a "must have" game but for my $$ I feel the collectibility of Star Wars and the fact that it is somewhat full to play for a wide variety of people.  This whole "book value" thing just has me confused...
