Dino,
I'd just call the Hamilton Police Dept., AFTER you ask for either the game ( and if he doesn't deliver ), your money back.
I've bought a game from him before, it wasn't a problem, but I was there in person. I think alot of his scams require distance.... which you have in your situation.
If there's something locally you'd like me to do on this end, like see the game in person or something, send me a pm and I'll do what I can for you.

doctor_electrical@yahoo.com is the email he used with me and the star wars pinball....I wired him $1800 for the machine before I saw all this OMG! This was to be a gift for my kid for christmas. He is now totally being an a** and getting pissed at me for accusing him of being a scammer. He has $1800 of my hard earned money and has not sent me any shipping info or anything. I wired money into a TD bank account and have all that info so maybe I can track it down. I need help! anyone who knows info on this guy address phone number anything please let me know. He has not only stolen $1800 but this is a kids christmas we are talking about. At the end of the emails he is always typing Roger and Roxanne and the bank info is in the name Roxanne Belanger.
Thanks for any help...I am on the other side of the country or would confront him in person myself.
Dino
Hey, Dino. Forgive me for asking, but you called him a scammer 'after' you sent him money? Did it seem to you before you read this thread that your deal was fishy? I mean, is it conceivable that the deal could have gone down without a hitch had you just let it play out? I sincerely wish you the best of luck in getting your money back or your machine. |

Hey Dino7c has this problem been resolved or at least resolved with the seller? How did he say he would ship the pin? As suggested I would call your bank and then the police to get the ball rolling. If the seller is pressured enough hell probably ship it to you to avoid the aggrevation. As many people will attest he usually does have the machines just not as described. I dont have any means of transportation but would meet up with someone to pick the pin up. |

I dont know maybe I got caught up in the excitement of getting my kid (huge star wars fan) the perfect gift and being able to share my love of pinball with her. Honestly our communication was great at first and he had me send a wire to a TD bank account and I have all the bank info....its not like he had me wire money via western union to Nigeria or something. I am just getting into the pinball hobby (played lots as a kid but until now couldn't afford my own machine) and everyone from local people to people on chats like this have just been awesome...maybe the best "community" I have ever been a part of...I guess I started to assume all pinheads were good guys, sadly you always have someone like this. |

UPDATE: Okay so this guy has started to send me some rather vulgar emails with words I wont repeat. He sucked me in at first but I have realized sending nasty emails back isn't gonna help the situation. I just sent a polite email stating that I have sent him $1800 (he got the wire I checked with my bank) so he has 2 options he can either return my money or send me some REAL pictures of the machine/shipping info by monday afternoon or I would be talking to the bank and police. He told me shipping would be via BAX to Calgary and charged $200 (thats why its $1800 and not $1600) In the email I also stated that it may be possible to have someone pick it up but I would need that $200 back. so we'll see what happens next, I know 100% he is aware of this thread and maybe a little heat will get him going. I cant tell you guys how much I appreciate people on here willing to help out a stranger...if nothing happens monday I may take someone up on their offer to go "check out the machine" I would be happy to compensate anyone for their time/effort Thanks so much Dino |

He has been caught on here before trying to sell items which the photos provided were clearly not his pins. The upshot of it all was a meager ban after some choice words were posted from him. Unfortunately it would appear there was no interest or little power to do anything more in that case with what he did. Without investigating proof of ownership it was simply misrepresentation through using someone elses photos. The only thing I can advise you is if this is the same guy he is well versed in what he does and not to allow him in any way to prolonge this. If you do not see any concrete results very shortly (and I mean today) I would not dig yourself into a hole any further and contact law enforcement. It would appear Hamilton would have local jurisdiction as this appears to be area in which he represented the game was being sold from (although he posted the ads all over which seem to have been removed and may not help support your claim in doing so.). It may also have provincial and federal jurisdiction since it was internet related and intra-provincial in your case. You may find this site of help for information. https://www.recol.ca/howtofile.aspxIf the guy was truly above board he would have promptly returned your money at the point you became uncomfortable with the deal. IMHO a $1600 Star Wars would not be difficult to resell so there would be some other reason he would have to want to hang onto your money. |

Hey, thanks for that link....I have all bank receipts/information but I will give him until monday to either refund the money or give me some concrete evidence this is gonna be shipped or even that he has the machine. As of now he has not responded to my latest email although I'm sure he is reading this thread. My neighbour and friend is a high ranking member of the RCMP also so I'll see what he has to say. Hopefully things are taken care of by monday but I wont hold my breath http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eKgPY1adc0Athat explains everything lol |

Well lets hope it's just a matter of using stock photos and hope the game is as good as those, but the fact you ended up in an argument with the seller over asking about the game isn't a good omen. |

he is trying to scam me 100% for sure, he said he never got the wire after I had confirmed with my bank he got it and took out the money. Did he just assume I would just forget about it? He also denies being this mark guy but he is using all the known email addresses. I actually emailed about the ad from another email address of mine and he responded with a new identity |

Reminds me of a story I heard about a guy I went to school with who my friend that became a cop told me about. He rented an apartment back when it was really tough to find apartments and proceeded to rent it out again and again collecting first and lasts months rent from several different people. The guy was dumb enough to accept cheques though. He got a free apartment not long after that. |

Let's hope our Mr. Anderson gets his just desserts this time around, and you get your money back, with two banks involved it should help you get some serious action from HPS; too many people have been been scammed by this guy now. If HPS wants to contact with others, I have one contact who got scammed in England who might come forward with his story. Please be sure to relay your first hand account to the owner of http://www.xmission.com/~daina/blacklist.html as its good to keep a running and accurate history of this, its the only way to warn unsuspecting buyers other than placing "public service" announcements. He doesn't seem bright enough to move away from the Hamilton/Dundas/Flamborough area so he's likely to get caught again soon. Also, this is a bad incident but really a good hobby with very few "bad eggs", so don't lose heart! |
