Man... I knew that with the amount of people there, the prices would be high...

The Ms.Pac upright, Galaga, Galaxian and Jr.Pac went VERY high for their condition, but I knew there would be the nostalgia factor involved, them being Funland machines....

...and you couldn't even open the cabs to see if they were original boards or bootlegs...

(...I should know, I tried but the damn things had a padlock on the back doors ! )

Crazy prices...

yep.  some items went way way to high.  bob (staple buyer) grabbed up a wall unit cd system for only $450 i think.   guy beside wanted it but ended up bidding on a touch screen by accident (thought it was the juk).  so he missed out on the cd.  a few items later there was a older cd floor model.  it ended up past the $800 mark.  about $600 too much.  another floor unit missing glass and not working fully went for $400ish.

then there were the soccer table with the glass tops.  most went for opening price or alittle higher. and there a few of them around.  well it seems others didn't follow the auction.  just sat at the entrance and waited.  well they wanted the soccer table from there and so did someone else.  that bidding went way to high as well.  $500 mark i think.  some of the vids as well had more then one hyper bidder on them.  was happy to see a couple young ones (18 if that).  end up with a lucky luke (i think it was called) for $25 and were very happy.

no vids for me this time.  well a touch screen i did get.  a couple kiddie rides and a coin sorter that was from funland.  there were other things i really wanted but no room at the shop at the moment.  the pool tables got no love or really no bids.   a couple different items kicking around.  popcorn vending machine was in excellent condition but bids started going to high for it.  will end up with one of these sooner or later.

wife said i can go to the next auction....  time to make some space...

Did the Elvis ($1475), No Fear ($975), and South Park ($1175) go for the prices listed?  I wish I could find prices like that on those machines in my area,  then again they could have been pretty beat....who knows.  How about the House of the Dead ($375) and Monster Bash ($2900) they seemed like pretty good deals.  Wish I was closer to check this out myself.

Coin-Op auctions in my area are few and far between and when they do happen the ops are mostly dumping junk very little to pick from and most of the public at these auctions have no idea what the value of these items are, which usually ends up driving up the prices.

No Fear went for $1700+ (add tax too) from what I remember.  It was in nice shape, except it had a few minor issues with it.

South Park was close to $2000 as I remember.

I really hope it was an op that bought South Park. The game play is awful. Apparently it's a good earner though. Good humour too.

Could just be a fan.

I lover SouthPark the show and the pinball is an awsome adaptation of the show.  The quotes, the characters, everything fits perfect from the show.  but the game is terrible.  Saying that when I have more room, I will own a Southpark, not because I like the game, but because I love the show and while I think the game is a dog to play, I still laugh my a$$ off evey time I do play it because I love all of the quotes from the game.

Ya, I love South Park (the show) too, but having that awful pin would only make it worse. It would make me start to hate the show. Maybe it's too much to ask to have great pins based on your favourite movies/shows. I guess I'm lucky with T2 and LOTR.
