Another member's post about superhero pinball machines got me thinking:
Batman, Iron Man, or Spiderman....Who would win in a fight between them?
IM has neat gadgets/suit, but so does BM.....SM has super spider strength, but his only gadget is web shooting.
IM is stronger in his suit, but BM is crazy(certifiable), and can upgrade his suit to as cool as he wants....Yup, that takes it. Batman wins in a fight (crazy guy, lots of money, lots of gadgets, tough as nails)
I asked my students and here's the responses:
Streetfight, with Suits: Most say that Ironman wins
Street fight without suits: Everyone says Spiderman wins
Ongoing fight: Varied responses, but most say that Batman eventually wins
Favorite student quotes: -"Batman suit is stupid looking...what's with the ears?" -"Ironman's battery would die" -"Superman would kill them all" -"Batman is the most realistic of them all, come on...who's got a flying robot suit?" -"Batman's got more balls"

Spider-Man would kick their butts. With his spidey sense, Ironman and Batman would never be able to get a hold of him. Ironman is just too slow for Spidey. Batman is fast and fit, but so is Spidey. Spidey's powers give him the upper hand. And if we're talking blacksuit Spider-Man, forget about it!

Batman is like IronMan in tights with no armor. No contest.
But Spiderman has superpowers... a bit unfair.
My money is on IronMan. Just way too cool. I can't wait for IronMan2

No way. Spidey is a sissy...He'd be thrown around like a doll. The webs would be useless against Batman, he'd just cut them up. Ironman would just burn, or break them.
After that Spidey would just be jumping around until BM or IM would knocked him out. I cant imagine Spidey even punches all that hard, when it comes to punching another superhero.

but Spidey can lift 150 times his body weight! That's gotta account for something.. he could tear Batman to shreds!
Hang on a second.....when did this ever happen? That means if Spiderman weighs 165lbs, he could lift 24,750lbs. He's never even lifted a car
Edit: Spiderman's superhuman strength and durability (from Wik)
Spider-Man's strength varies widely due to artistic license, but is well into the superhuman range of strength. Early in his career, Spider-Man was frequently said to have the proportional strength of a spider, being capable of lifting 150 times his own body weight, but he can lift much more. For a time, due to events of "The Other" and "The Queen" story arcs, his physical strength was increased to twice his original limit, capable of lifting 20-25 tons. However, due to the events of the "Brand New Day" story arc, his strength has reverted to his original limits. During the Secret Invasion, Spider-Man was shown to able to knock a Tyranosaurus Rex unconscious in one punch. He has been shown to lift and throw objects such as a semi truck with ease.[12] When in combat, Spider-Man must pull his punches unless fighting someone of similar or greater durability and power. Otherwise, his blows would kill a normal person.[13]
Spider-Man's bodily tissue is a great deal more durable and resistant to some types of injury than a normal human. However, Spider-Man is far from invulnerable. While his body is tougher than an ordinary human, as seen several times in Spider-Man 2 (via falling from average web slinging height without sustaining significant injury), he can still be injured in ways comparable to an ordinary human. For example, Spider-Man can be injured by bullets or knives composed of conventional material and from impacts of sufficient force. However, if injured, his accelerated metabolism is capable of repairing itself many times faster than an ordinary human is capable of. A doctor has told Spider-Man that it would be impossible for a normal man to survive the punishment that he has endured.[14]
Spider-Man can leap several stories vertically or the width of a city street.[15] He can run at superhuman speed for short sprints, but prefers using his weblines to travel

In Spider-Man 2, he stops a speeding L-train. That would take massive strength. He's no sissy.

Batman is nothing but a candyass loner in a latex suit and with gadgets. If he would be real, he would be locked up at Arkham in a straight jacket. If he was a woman, he would be a dominatrix.
Spiderman is a teenager in tights with a severe popping-zit problem on his wrists and has to sell pictures of himself to just get by.
Iron Man rules. He's got money, Gwyneth Paltrow in stilettos and a badass robot suit. No contest.
I'll take Kirsten Dunst over Gwyneth Paltrow any day.

My money's on Batman. He would first analyze their weaknesses and develop a suite to kick their assess. He beat Superman! Spidy and Iron Man will be a walk in the park. He'll kick both their assess and have enough energy to "entertain" Kirsten and Gwyneth afterwards.

Batman is cool if you're into reading about superheroes who have Dr. Phil daddy issues.
Spiderman is cool if you're into reading about superheroes who have the same teen dating problems as your standard issue emo kid.
Iron Man is cool if you like reading about a kickass rich guy getting boozed up banging tons of chicks and not giving a F#(k about any of the above mentioned girl-pants crap!
How is this even a topic for discussion amongst men?!
/says the guy who owns every single issue of Iron Man since it started in 1968, including #1
Obviously I'm just kiddin' about BM and SM. Though the cool exec with a heart of steel is my boy by a long shot. Here's some of the covers in my collection I've found that stuck out as a testament to getting boozed, a passion Mr. Stark and I share greatly.
A great man!

If you mean the animal yes but the character is American.:
The character first appeared in Incredible Hulk #180 (October 1974) and was created by writer Len Wein and Marvel art director John Romita Sr., who designed the character, and was first drawn for publication by Herb Trimpe.[2]

I LOVE Harvey Birdman!!!!!
In the 3 way battle royale, i would probably put my money on Spidey... He's been through HELL and survived it and won... THe stuff before the "Brand new day" storyline was insane!
But if we are talking "Real" canadian Heroes, it's gotta be Puck!
C'mon young man, you think BM, SM or Ironman are from the 90's. Besides, I found a better superhero for you young pups. Eat that!
No, I know they are not from the 90's. But at least they were brought up to speed. And before you say there was an Ultraman movie in 2004, if you would have seen it, you would have thought it was made in 1974.
An explosion at the Gotham bank. Boom! The Joker charges in with fiends numbering a platoon. But, in the shadows a lone knight stands, Armed with batarangs in his hands.
Out of the shadows, the Caped Crusader leaps! Punching and grappling the villains to sleep. Looking around in panicked surprise, The Joker runs to escape his demise.
Surrounded by henchmen, the Batman will fight, While the Joker escapes in his van out of sight. Into the Batmobile our hero then goes, Off to a destination that few men know.
Down, down deep, below Wayne Manor, Lies the headquarters of Bruce Wayne, the ultimate planner. Plagued by the guilt of his parents’ death, He took up the dark mantle, bringing justice with every last breath.
With Two-face on the run, and the Penguin having fun, The Dark Knight stops them all, leaving the Riddler without a pun. With villains at Arkham, Gotham can rest, While crime fighting for Batman is a constant test.

No, I did not see the movie and I will trust you on how good it was However, I liked Ultraman when I was a kid but you are right it could be updated a bit but I liked the idea that he had only so much power and for a limited time before he had to regenerate.
