One on EBay says recently taken off route, well maintained. Only issue (can see in pic) is playfield wear in front of eject hole. Pickup in Hamilton and I will only pay upon proper inspection. What's reasonable? In other words not going to take a bath if need to sell at a later date.

Thanks in advance.

I believe that's Troy's machine.  If you would edit your profile to show your location we'd know if you're close enough to look at it prior to the auction ending.

I think that machine is located on site somewhere by Hwy 97 and Hwy 401.

Contact vidiot or Davester, and I'm sure either one would be willing to answer any questions you may have.

p.s.  You win an eBay auction, you're obligated to pay - regardless of your opinion(s) after the fact.  You aren't winning first right of refusal, or the right to a private inspection with further opportunity to negotiate.  You may be better off watching the Kijiji or Craigslist ads if you are uncomfortable with winning an auction sight unseen.

Thanks for the advice, my friend.

Had  experience a several years ago when buying a $3600.00 drum kit. Won the auction and then the seller says he's in England for a month and please wire the funds in advance. Needless to say that didn't happen. EBay supported me on that.

Since the location of the TZ was Hamilton, my first concern was if this might be that scammer everyone knows and loves. In a case where a bid is won, it is assuming within reason that the goods are exactly as described (ie: the condition, in this case). So, with something in that price range I think it would be wise for sme to inspect to make sure it is working as described. If the seller said on the add, ``Everything working except such-and-such``, that`s different as it is sold as described. If the thing is dismantled and bubble wrapped `when I go to get it I have no recourse if it is not operating properly.

Right of first refusal implies the buyer can simply change his mind siting no particular reason relevant to the agreed terms of sale. In this case, agreed terms include the operating and physical condition of the product is, as described. I have made several larger purchases on Ebay, albeit several years apart, and have never gotten burned... however many others have.

Somebody i know bought a centaur II out of ebay . The pin that got shipped to him from USA was OK , but not the one he bidded on . The one he bidded on was up for auction 3 to 4 weeks later .

he proceeded for a dispute . Seems like the guy , being a power seller , new how to pull the strings and managed to get out of it , living my friend loosing his time with the matter wihout getting any compensation . I personaly wouldn ' t buy on ebay , unless the pin would be close enough for me to check it out myself ...

I'm in the area.

If you can arrange a time/place for me to look at it on your behalf, I can do so.

Thanks for the offer Dan,

I have a daughter who lives in Ancaster so I'm there regularly, so no problem going there and making sure it checks out. The seller is right at the same exit off the Linc as her as well.  However I'm no expert!

Nobody wants to dispute a purchase they  make, but I do believe there are situations in which the buyer has the right to do so...But NOT  due to changing their mind, though. That leaves the seller as the one getting burnt.

Sold for $2650US or $2975 Canadian. Considering Dave Astill has a shopped on for $3000, not a great deal.

I was also going to suggest having a look at Dave's machine.....

considering the final sale price of the auction machine, I'd agree, Dave's is probably a better value.
