Mslave's link to pinballdecals.com brought me to this page. Finally, we can buy it!

Although, it is kind of expensive, I'll hold off for now. But for those of you with 'keepers' that you've already spent a fortune on, this would really add to your game!

It was available at Allentown in May. Not sure who would shell out $300 for a sheet of glass, though.

The same people that would shell out $7k+ for a game? Compare $300 for glass versus $7k for a game. That's 4%. Now compare $50 for a normal sheet of glass versus a $1k game, that's 5%. Doesn't seem like a bad deal if you only buy it for a high value game.

If I could figure out the specifications for the glass, I could at least try to source it in Canada from the people who manufacture for storefronts (where I think this type of glass got it commercial legs from).

I can barely justify $40 for new glass to replace the scratched stuff I have, no way I would ever spend $300 on glass regardless of what the original cost of the machine was.

Actually i believe Joey (pinballdecals.com) is the only NA distributor for this glass...

Saw it at Allentown.. it's pretty amazing stuff.  No way i'd spend that kind of dough on it myself, but I could see a market for it.. particularly with the upper-class collectors

Non-glare glass is used in the picture framing industry. Albeit the stuff probably isnt tempered, but maybe the same coating can be used. I will ask my brother what he knows about non glare coating as he is in the eyeglass business.

As mentioned on the site, it's used to make plasma TVs (and now LCDs too). Considering Plasma TVs aren't made here, it might be tough to source a supplier.

If the price of this glass was triple what I paid the last time for regular glass, I would think it is a good investment. I would probably buy it for at least 1/2 of my collection. I realized how nice new glass looks and how great a difference it made, now imagine this glare free glass - I say wow!

Pinball is very visual and one of the things my significant other has said a few times is that she wishes that there was no glare. It affects gameplay. If we had a Cdn distributor (hint Websherpa   ) who could arrange fantastic pricing, I would be there.

Go get 'em Websherpa!

Ricker's current lineup;

El Dorado          Flash.                   Royal Flush           Joker Poker
Volley               Pioneer                 Barracora             Black Knight
Meteor             Xenon

The xenon , you know , has a double backglass with them lights going around . I ' d say that it ' s most likely the worst one , also the space invaders , for reflections on the PF glass . It would be my first pin to have a glare free glass . In my dreams only ...
