So I got my Seawitch (Thanks Menace!!!) body today and don't have any flippers working. Here's what I know: -got a solid 44VDC at all lugs -relay is clicking in during the boot up -grounding Q15 on the SDB does nothing -putting the SDB into my Galaxy, it works fine with flippers
So I'm assuming the problem must be not on the SDB, given that it works perfectly in another machine. Pinrepair.com and RPG seem to focus only on the SDB for solving this problem... but the SDB definitely works fine in another machine.
Any thoughts. Sure would like to play a game tonight! Daniel
Jackass. Here I was all excited someone replied and was going to ease my pain.... and all I get is grief. Now I gotta go drink more wine to forget...
Seriously though, I'm glad I didn't get it. Pretty sure my wife would have been pissed. She doesn't care if I drop a couple hundred on something I'm going to repair and sell, but to put $500 out for a project to keep.... maybe not so good.
Yeah, I was surprised to see it going out in to someone else's vehicle. I didn't get what I wanted either.

Sounds like a connector terminal issue to me.
- Check for 43vdc at SDB J3 pin 5 and make sure the connector terminal is good. - Make sure the connector terminal at SDB J4 pin 8 is good - Check MPU J4 pins 5 to 8
After I initially put the pin together, everything fired up fine, but no flippers. Bizarre, I thought, but manageable. I tested the rectifier, SDB, and voltage at both flipper switches and coils. All test good. Went through pinrepair.com, looked at RPG, etc... So then I posted my question, because I was getting nothing from all 4 flippers, I figured it was an overall problem somewhere... wrong-o!
Lower right coil is burnt (not visibly). Lower left coil is in backwards and wired incorrectly. Top right flipper's EOS switch is filthy black and pitted, nothing getting through. Top left flipper EOS is ever-so-slightly apart, but it probably didn't matter because of the lower left flipper being in so wacky.
So I spent quite a while looking at MPU, SDB, rectifier and tracing wires.... when really it was just that all 4 flippers were f$#ked. What are the odds?
There's a lesson here about forests and trees, but I've had a couple glasses of wine... so I'll recap it with: make sure you check the obvious.
On a brighter note, the game is really fun. Thanks for the advice!
