Hi.  What would you say is the current CDN value of a decent looking Flash Gordon or Xenon machine?

Also, which machine is more fun?

Thanks.

I would say between 500$ and 750$ for Flash Gordon. Not sure for Xenon but i prefer FG for the gameplay.

Personnal taste of course....

FG is priceless!!!

First pinball I ever played, and one I would never sell. Gameplay is phenomenal for that era... even without a multiball!

I owned (still own) one or more Flash Gordons since 1985, it is a very fun game with its two-level, drop targets incl. in-line, 15-sec bonus, great sounds/speech and the novelty strobe in the backglass. Nice artwork  too.

I also owned (still own) a Xenon. Its gameplay is not as fun (repetitive/limited actually) as Flash Gordon, even though has simple 2-ball multiball. However it definitely has superior amazing outstanding artwork (in my opinion), and that sexy female voice/speech is smooth. The transport tube was quite a hit back then too.

My vote: For gameplay: FG;  for artwork: Xenon.

Mr.Pinball 2005 lists, for a game in great conditions, new rubbers and 100% working:
Flash Gordon $725 US
Xenon           $975 US

I will soon order the Mr.Pinball 2006 book, I have read most popular games increased in value since 2005.

For as-is machines, cdn prices will be all over the map (typically $400 - $1000) depending on cosmetics, if working or not, hacks or not, complete or not, and where/whom you buy it from.

However, do not buy a machine only for $ investment, buy one for nostalgia and fun, for family/friends great time. THAT is 'Priceless' !

Good luck!

Looking for 1966 Bally Capersville, 1967 Bally The Wiggler, 1981 Stern Viper, 1986 Pinstar Gamatron,
1986 Williams Grand Lizard, 1991 Williams Bride of Pinbot, and a few others.
Cash or some trades available. Could also repair a machine of yours +/-$ if needed, in exchange for
one machine on my want list, non-working/unshopped welcome!

I agree with Sylvain on that, Xenon looks amazing !! The backglass with lights around it etc... you should see Mindstorm machine with the blue tunnel lights Looks VERY nice !!

But i just cant get into it.. so yes, for gameplay FG !! If you like to look at your machines.. Xenon
