Je fabrique mes LEDS moi-même et j ' en ai mis des bleus un peu partout sur ma Xenon . C ' était "to much " .

"I build my own LEDs and I put blue ones all over in my Xenon. It was excessive. I believe that you are better off sticking with white ones where it is white, except in the pop bumpers where I left the blue ones. On the backglass, there are lights around the central face. Those I left blue and it is out of this world. I also made here eyes with red LEDs. To do them yourself, it works only with 44 or 47 lights..."

Home created LEDs work where the DC is steady and not containing ripple, otherwise you get "flicker".

I put one home made Blue LED in a Xenon pop bumper and it makes an interesting difference (And the rest will follow if I don't start distributing the commercial versions soon).  Less effective viewing angle, but the blue hue is greatly increased and dramatic.  It "modernizes" the pin a bit (of this age) to have updated LED lighting, so the effect is very personal to how you like to experience your pins. sanding of the lens of LEDs is one way to get them to throw a broader angle of light, but I find that Superflux LEDs are a much better bet overall (very hardy compared to Kingbright's early attempts at wide angle multicolour LEDs).

Here's one link with instructions on constructing your own "changing light" LED for pinballs: http://www.flipper-pinball-fan.be/

This is true...............it looks like they are on very faintly. They work well on lights that are always on.......or flashing

I know nothing of LED's. Is that particular resistor used regardless of LED type?

I want to try to make a few of my own, it looks easy.

This would be a WICKED "write up/how to" to have here on the forum!!

The resistors have to be a certian resistance for it to work right I believe.I could find out what rating when I get home

But it seem to have only 1 led per bulb. I ordered some at canadapinballparts and each bulb have 3 led. Its probably making a huge difference with 3 led compared to 1!!
