When I can't make it to these auctions, I always like to see what was sold & for how much $$$. Hopefully some of you guys find this interesting too. So here's the list.

Reminder: some of 'em are BUYBACKS...

It's sometimes difficult to judge the prices when you're not there...

I've seen some machines at the Chicago Expo auction where the final price was incredibly low but if you would have seen the machine, then you would have understood why it was cheap...and the fact that the machine was a buyback...

I know that the Fish Tales wasn't a buyback (a CGCC member picked it up)

If you want to know which one(s) were buybacks, check Starburst's Ebay auction in the next few weeks...they'll show up!!!

My $0.02

Could also be that it didn't hit the reserve price and became a buy-back.  Might find Johnie Mnemonic for sale again next time.

Looks like Frosken just beat me to the post ...

I was at a previous auction and noticed one guy bid on every third item.  He had some numbers on his auction list.  Presumably they were the reserve prices.

Yeah i know judging on prices doesnt say much...

Ebay, auctions and anywhere else you expect to buy cheap items, its never happening. Shill bid, buy backs, etc are always present. If you win, its probably because you paid too much...

Why is everyone doing Ebay auctions with no reserves and buying them back is beyond me... also, why would someone start an auction with reserve 1000$ below it ? Again, its beyond me, seeing people bid on your item 800$ lower than you reserve makes no point imo.

I can tell you that, listing an expensive game or a high ticket item for lets say 3000$ costs 41$us listing fee + FAVF plus this plus that . If the game doesnt sell, you can kiss the listing fees goodbye.
NR auctions are less cheaper in listing, so shill bid buy backs and outside ebay sales (against their mafia politic) welcome.I still use ebay to sell but the days are counted.I reserve always the right to close an auction earlier if someone comes up with a reasonable offer ( my mafia politic ). So generally speaking no matter what auction you are visiting, shill bid or buy backs are always present.

Thanks

Depends whose sheet it was.  Some people put in what they want to bid.  After a few times, and some careful observation you can see who is buying everything and it is showing up at the next auction.
