i have a barracora backglass and the upper right is coming off the glass (flaking sort of). I know I have heard about triple thick .. is this the best idea ... what options are out there and what works best after pieces are coming up off the glass

For pieces coming right up off the glass, use a bit of super glue to tack the lifted section back down to the glass.  Once that is back in place and dry, triple thick the whole thing.

Supposedly there are 2 types of triple thick spray, and if I recall one mfg is preferred over the other.  As to which one is best, I cannot answer that unfortunately.  I do know McMean has had good success with triple thick, so you might want to drop him a line on it. (or search on here for one of his posts on this subject)

Krylon Triple Thick "Crystal" is the one to get.  Works awesome, and leaves the backglass/paint bonded as one.

This is what it has to say about itself (taken from the can):

My Barracora glass arrived with Triple Thick already applied. You can touch up with acrylic paint over the sealer once it is properly cured. Good thing is the upper right is solid black so it should be a piece of cake.

Matching colour is a whole other issue in itself.
