I figured I could post some progress of my operation wolf - to - mame conversion project.

It started as an Operation Wolf that I got from pinbal wizard (thanks again for the cab / delivery deal)

I removed the marques (need to find a more generic one) and the gun with its Jamma Harness (if anyone is looking for one, let me know)

then I litterally remove the whole front as it wasn't an appropriate height for normal gameplay

I redid the sidepanel profiles

Now I have added a new control pannel, new front panel, and a coin door I got from chameleon, with coin slots I got at Sparky's garage sale.

and that's pretty much where I am at now...

next step is to add a shelf for that 21" crt I got from Toeckeder, then I close the back, putty it up and get it ready to paint.

I am hoping to have that baby in the basement before we do an housewarming party late august.

must I say that I am happy of the contacts have on MAACA? been very helpful in my quest for making my first gameroom piece.

today I installed the monitor. Again. But this once I think that the setup is appropriate. The match is near perfect, I don't think I could go with anything bigger for that specific cab.

won't be too long before I put this little baby in the game room (and start looking for another project)

lots of progress in the latest day

the CAB is complete. In that I mean the wood box of the arcade machine. I still have to work the insides. lol.

I had some bad news WHILE brigning it downstairs. The way my staircase is done makes that you do a 90 degrees right as you hit the ground, gives little room to move with furniture. I almost decided to convert the upstairs living room in a game room (might have been a good idea. lol.)

Nevertheless, I had to butcher the cab in an improvised manner. There used to be a step, some kind of pedestal, in the front of the cab. Mr. Jigsaw changed that. I think I even like it better this way.

latest pictures:

in the upcoming weeks, I'll be adding sidearts, and changing the marquee. I would have kept it, but that must be the most badly drawn marquee ever.

I tought I did put more recent pictures of my cab... apparently not.

I wanted something that looked like what they drew in the comics for arcade side art, ended up making bit-graphics of Space Invaders:

Here's my control pannel. the key in the center, on top, is the admin key. You cannot change games without that, or adjust volume.

While I am there, here's some decorations of my gameroom:

The kids (even the grown ups) are adepts of it!

Thanks!

the room is smallish, but just perfect for about 3 cabs.
I'm happy how good it is becoming.

Merci!
Le cabinet était déjà en bonne forme pour commencer.  Tu avais raison, il y a EN MASSE de place pour un 21 pouce là-dedans!

Un échange serait intéressant, je t'envoie un PM.
Encore merci!
