Hi all, figured this was the best place to repost my issue from the projects page.

I am having issues of my main fuse (the first one power goes through from the wall socket) blowing every time I flick the switch on. I have disconnected everything from the transformer including bridge recitifiers, display power and power supply board connections. I am measuring approximately 1ohm across each of the windings 1/2, 3/4, 5/6, 7/8. Is this normal? The only other thing in the way is the black box the power cord initially goes to. What is this anyways? When I measure the resistance across the white and black wires of the power cord I see ~1.5ohms... this didn't seem right to me either.

Any input?

Thanks.

edit: Williams World Cup 78' is the machine.
