Hey Everyone.

Could some one please provide the book value for this pin?

I have read the negative reviews from ipdb.org but i am a star wars / star trek fan and may be looking at finding one of these pins.

Any feedback from the gang would be appreciated!!

Yes, seems that my reading is leading me there... I'm hoping that the price is low considering that it was not well received.

ANYTHING Star Trek is wayyy better than anything Star Wars.

I played it for the first time at the PHoF last month. I found it soooo boring, I didn't finish my last ball. If you're a Star Wars fan, pass on it! It'll only make you hate Star Wars.

I've never seen this game in person, sorry that's not exactly true, I saw it at PATZ but it wasn't working.  It's on my list of games I've never seen and want to try.

oh well

I have a nice SWE:1 in excellent shape 100% LEDs that I might eventually  let go for around the same price. Its a lot more machine for the money, as well as being Williams very last pinball title.

There is the added bonus that you could find an RFM pf and swap games, using the same cab.

Considering this game is relatively hard to find, and is based on the ultimate license (arguably), it's amazing that it's only $2300 book price. Actually, it's not amazing, the game stinks! (IMHO)

For clarification: I've been ranting about DE Star Wars for some reason, not the SEGA title (never played it). Whoops!

Understatement of the ... millennium!

I enjoyed playing DE Star Wars but tourney players say it's all about the ramp. I actually really like the theme integration, the classic artwork on the backglass, and especially enjoy shooting the Storm Rangers with the ball plunger joystick.

The one thing I noted while playing: The music is mostly not from the movies! Just like JP, they had some in house guy do the music. Ugh. And they don't have anyone from the movies record pinball call outs.

Thats very interesting! i have not had the opportunity to play either game as of yet so the feedback is helpful.

Yea I've played DE Star Wars a bunch and the theme integration is good but the game does get quite boring.  You can rape the center ramp over and over and over and over again, it's hittable from the right flipper and the ramp feeds the right flipper so in competition it comes down to who can hit the ramp more.  

But yea the sega one is pretty rare and I've yet to find a working one.  

I played SWT at the Allentown show a couple of years ago and found it to be far more interesting than DE:SW.

The DE version is nice to look at, but I find it really easy, repetitive and boring.

I think I played the Sega one back when it was in arcades, but I don't really remember it at all.  It's really a shame that there isn't a better Star Wars game-there are enough good games based on crappy to mediocre movies, so why not a good game with a great license?  

I also wish out of the 3 (well, 4 if your count Empire Strikes Back) they would have made one decent SW pin.  I might get DE Star Wars someday just 'cause it's Star Wars, but totally agree that it is ultra-repetitive.  I didn't think that much of Trilogy either.  I don't think ep1 is as bad as all that but it's not in the same league as Revenge from Mars.

Hey Everyone, Just catching up here, I had all 3 Star Wars Pins at once, in my opinion:

Episode 1 is a terrible game, some really like it, not me... Turn off the video and play it, bleah... Terrible movie too.

The Data East one is fun enough but the Art work on the playfield is just terrible, like a lot of Data East games (JP and TFTC come to mind). I have a NOS playfield and it is terrible and beautiful at the same time... I like the peace fingers under the Death Star.

The Trilogy one by Sega looks great, especially in comparison to the Data East one, and seems really rare. I have just finished completely rebuilding it and replaced all Black rubber with white and took all the sleeves below the rubbers that are on the posts, off. This seems to make a huge difference in Data East/Sega games, the ball actually bounces! The Flippers on these games are incredibly strong and this game is playing really fast! The Tie Fighter bounces when the drop targets are hit, the big Cannon on the left is actually the diverter for the ramp as a magnet picks the ball up and the cannon recoils and the magnet drops the ball on the other ramp, pretty cool actually. I have not come anywhere near completing the game, near as I can tell there are 6 modes as well as 5 awards from the F>O>R>C>E> targets, at least 3 different multiballs. I was on the fence with this one before I rebuilt it, but now I am keeping it, at least for now. It has great color with all the LED's in it, the Sound is not up to snuff, but I might upgrade the speakers and see what it is like. I see all the terrible reviews for this game and I am thinking no one has played a working one. I haven't played it enough to figure out if it is pretty balanced scoring or if there is one repetitive shot to keep shooting over and over to score big. I think the ramp would be that shot though as spelling "Falcon" starts a multiball. The Ramp is HUGE! Maybe longer than the Boney Beast ramp in Scared Stiff, and feeds the left flipper to hit it again. The "F" and "O" targets send the ball back at the flippers/Drain very fast, you would almost think they were kicking targets, they are on each side of the ramp, so don't miss. Pretty fun game, we played it most of the night last night. Seemed to hold up well, and we never tired of it.

Ahhh well, I am happy to have this one, I have only seen one other one for sale and it was a few years back at SML here for around $5000! which will surprise everyone but the Calgary people!  

Anyway, I have only one of the three remaining, so you know which one I like...

Does Any One have the 3D Lenticular Translite kicking around? I would like to find one...
