This machine has been dead for 19 years. And it showed. When I set it up, before I even plugged it, I had the 20-pin connector on power supply burnt and broken in 2. I had a new one and repinned every wire. I also noticed some NASTY burn marks on the solenoid driver. I replaced it with a working one I had. I plugged it in and I flicked the switch...
I have lights... I have 7 flashes... then it freezes right away. f***. All my spare MPUs are good for parts or are not M200 MPUs. Damn. Time to get the Alltek out of the Future Spa.
... and PRESTO! Alive, but barely. Can't start a game. mess. Got the schematics out. I noticed also that the coin chutes weren't registering. Found 3 broken wires in the door. I fixed that. But 80% of lights are dead (understandable), a couple of switches are finicky (normal), some coil units had been oiled probably 20 years ago and are now gummed up (great...), left sling coil unit is hanging by it's wires (crap...), flippers are dead (I will fix that later) and it needs the shopjob from hell, but the sound works (YAY!), and the speech works (OMG thank the Lord).
So I have the Alltek MPU in it, along with a Rottendog solenoid driver, Alltek lamp driver (gonna put LEDs in it later) and I have a power supply board ready for it.
She will be ready for the November meeting I will host. She won't be pretty, but she will kick some a**!

Ohhhhhh my ...... je ne croyais pas que le background sound était aussi le fun !! Sur vpinmame les sons des Stern sont très mauvais. Et le reste de sons, fabuleux, je jubile . Avec une grosse balle la machine fait bien sentir le résultat du travail accomplie lors du comptage du bonus. Ahhh je vais encore changer mon ordre de restauration a cause de ce video.
