Well I've been completely out for a while now and I have to admit.... I don't even miss it a little bit.. Kinda sad really..
I've been going through some major changes at home... Wife left... No reason other than her menopause.. I really got rid of my stuff at the right time... No leverage for her...
Hi to the guys I know... Enjoy the summer.. I might be back next fall for a visit..

Mike, good to hear from you (...assuming you're even reading this...), but sorry to hear about your challenges on the home front.
(...lots of bad karma on the spousal front around here lately...)
Hope things work out for you.
Cheers, Steph
Yeah I'm reading this.. I'm alone this week (her week with the kids)... and a bit drunk... and a bit bored... Yeah I read about the bad karma.. Really sucks. I can't even reply to that thread.. Don't know what to say. It did make me feel bad about disappearing without saying anything.

Nice to see you are still popping in. Sorry about the home front also.
If you feel like abit of pinball or just socializing - you are more than welcome over here - Sat night is a small meeting/party if you feel like it. Otherwise, give me a call sometime and bring the boys with you. They can play with Seb and you can play some pinball.

Take care ME
Thanks for the invite.. This weekend I have the kids (and of course one has a baseball tournament in Montreal) so Sat is probably a no-go for me but it would be nice to drop by at some point with the kids. Probably more socializing than pinball

A couple of buddies are working on a couple Skybolts's.
One is torn apart and one is flyable to keep the motivation going. Still looking for some Lycoming parts to get the other one in the air. Fun and pretty easy to do aero's in.
The car is getting some attention too. Hey it's summer!

Think you mean Super Skybolts
Regular Skybolts don't have a canopy

I don't want to even being to get into personally collecting these things. Better to have friends that have them. If you want to go through a lot of money in a short period of time you can either bury it in the backyard or buy an airplane.

Mike,
Well it's understandable that you don't miss the hobby too much with a major change like that happening in your life. That would take the wind out of anybody's sail. Anyways I wish you all the best and remember things happen for a reason, try to stay positive, and go out with friends and family and most of all try to have some fun. Your new hobby looks like a good distraction to take your mind off things.
You got me thinking about the difference between a Skybolt and a Super Skybolt so I had to ask.
I asked my buddy this morning about the "Super" designation since I hadn't heard that term before from them. He thinks it might be a licensing issue with the name for modeling. He was aware of variations which were Skybolt standard, delta and radial with various engine packages. The one apart has the 0-360 modified to pump out 200+ HP. It has a canopy but he still is saying it's just a "Skybolt".
