I can appreciate that MAACA has expanded well beyond Montreal and that the acronym MAACA now actually has a good Google showing, but I'm not sure "Multinational" is the best choice for a change of name.
(...although I realize that we need to have a word that starts with "M" , and frankly, I can't seem to think of anything better right now !

Even though I am from the Western End of Ontario, I rather appreciate MAACA the way it is, and WITH the Montreal monicker. It reminds me of the board's roots, and Quebec is where I seem to get the majority of my machines from. It gives the board an International flavour (from a Westerner's perspective). I rather like that it has become a "hub" of Canadian and some international attention for arcade/coinop/pinball enthusiasts. And the site and its members have a very familiar and casual way, unlike some other less active groups. Personally I would advise against changing it (and I make my living as a consultant for Internet and Business marketing ventures), keepnig maaca.org is very important now that it's established. By the way, acronym's have a way of outliving their original long form and take on their own life the way they are (think of HP or IBM, CAA etc, you have to think to remember what the original company name was). Anyway, that's my 0,02$ advice.
And "Multinational" is just dumb.
If you are serious about this, what about changing to CAACAA.org (Canadian Amusement and Arcade Collectors Addiction Association ). Certainly most of us are in serious pinball/arcade collecting doo doo.
Sometime my son's 7 year old bathroom humour just cracks me up.
