Hi everyone, is there a Canadian Pinled distributor ?

I know Mad-Amusement and Bay Area in USA, but i'm not sure about Canada.

Pinled also sells directly and ships for free to north America from their Ebay store, i suspect high duty fees in that case ?

Anyone ever ordered direct from them or from one of their distributor and would like to comment ?

It's for a dotmatrix controller board, i would also buy from a MAACA member if anyone has one for sale.

Just to update that thread for others who might be interrested. My IJ Dot Matrix controller was broken and i wanted to try a Pinled repro (will get the old one fixed too eventually, of course).

I decided to take a chance and ordered directly from Pinled in Germany ! I am really amazed at how fast they shipped that thing to me, i placed my order last friday (August 14th) and it is now installed in my game and working fine (got it today).

Price was 99$ US shipping included and that's all i paid. No duty/taxes etc... they didnt use UPS or DHL (thanks god) but good old air mail. They marked the package as "commercial sample".

There is no way i could have bought that board for 99$ all included in USA, the cheapest was Mad Amusement, 89$ BUT 30$ (or was it 35) for shipping...

Damn.  I bought one from MAD but arrived non working.  Shipped it back to Germany and it's lost.

Most of stuff i got from out of the country never cost any duties . I may be mistaking , but i think that in order to pay duties , it has to be over $200.00 ...

Duty or tax?  I had a $30 package shipped from the US recently.  Customs slapped the 5% tax ($1.50) plus a $5 handling fee on it.  Pissed me off.  They usually let low value items through.

anything under 20$ is duty and tax free. Of course there are ways around paying it when its more..

If it's over $20 it is subject to taxes (but they are busy so you don't always get caught).  Anything can be subject to duties if it's not tarif free (and again they have the time to tag it).

Good to know.  I thought it was like $50.

Exactly, just got  a 38$ order + and paid 3.80$....looks like 10%

Anyone knows if that PINLED supplier has got the new Anti-Flickering LED 's ????
